Fortified City Commuter Theft-Resistant 8 Speed Bike (Medium - 54cm - 5'6" to 5'10")

I purchased the 8-speed and am so happy. The order confirmation (and also the title as I post this review) both said single speed but I contacted the seller and they confirmed I would receive the 8-speed. This bike is wonderful all-around and the theft-resistant screws are just an added bonus. I was going to order it through the website but went with Amazon due to the free installation, which I am so thankful for. If I had assembled it myself I probably would have had to go to a bike shop for some adjustments.Components I purchased and added are two Ibera Bicylce Bags (one is attached in the photo) PakRak with quick release, Axiom Adirondack handlebar bag, Ibera PakRak Bicycle Touring Carrier Plus+, SIGTUNA Bike lock - 16mm, and Velo Orange 700c Hammered Alloy Fender Set (black color). I purchased the fortified bicycle lights, which were junk, and had to send them back.Highly recommend this bike!

Great Bike, just get some lights, especially if you commute @ night.

A wonderful bike: but beware! Rim tape is plastic! Within one day of having the bike, the manufacturer uses plastic rim tape, which popped BOTH tires! In 24 hours I was in a bike shop, which put in cloth. It’s the heat that did it. Disappointing for a bike I bought for casual bike rides.

Just received the bike yesterday and I'm disappointed with the false advertising. The bike doesn't come with the lights as shown in the pictures. And beware, all the accessories have to be bought seperately. I will update the review after riding it.

This bike has a lot of great things about it but it is absolutely awful where the rubber meets the road.The factory tires are ultra cheap copies of the puncture-proof rubber you may be used to. They want low pressure, and slide even on dry ground. If you buy the bike, be prepared to shell out another $100 for good rubber.

Bought this bike last year, on sale, from Fortified and so far so good. The bike is Awesome. Handles well, super light. Customer service is Fantastic. I'm very happy with my new bike.
