RC Quadcopter RTF (Hubsan H501S X4) - 5.8G FPV Brushless With 1080P HD Camera GPS (Version: Professional-Color:White and Gold-Mode:Switch)

Worked great at first, all functions. Loved it, remarkable performance in high winds with the GPS function on. I purchased extra batteries for the Rx and advanced Tx hoping to be into this for a long time. However, less than 1 month later I sent it straight up - as I have with any flight with it - with a Morpilot battery, wind not a concern. At 50 meters high I did my standard control tests and continued sending it up. At around 100 vertical meters the Tx said the aircraft battery was low and I noticed it had drifted a horizontal distance of 50 meters. I hit the Return to Home switch and it came back like it should have. Thinking there was a possible issue with the Morpilot battery I swapped it out with the stock battery, re-calibrated the compass, sent it straight up again, standard tests passed, and continued higher. No battery warning this time however it still drifted 50 horizontal meters away and was 125 vertical meters high. I was concerned but not worried because I still had control of it. I took a couple of snapshots, rotated the air craft to capture 360 degree video. By this time it had drifted to 100 meters away. I flipped the Return to Home switch up and watched the aircraft to see if it was returning. It didn't look like it was. I checked to make sure the GPS switch was still up and noticed the video feed was staticky. Now 125 meters away. Flipped Return to Home off then back on again, still very much in the documented range of the Tx. Continued traveling further away with no indication of RTH having any affect. Video feed was dark by now. I then tried to toggle the LED lights to steady on to see if the Tx was reaching the aircraft; worked. By this time I had no control at all, not even heading. 250 meters away and climbing. I was helpless because all I could do was watch it sail away in disbelief. I gave up after it got over 900 horizontal and 500 (the numbers stopped climbing around there and the GPS coordinates remained constant) vertical meters away and I couldn't see the LED lights.

I don't understand how this drone has 3.5 stars. When I purchased this drone I was nervous whether or not it was worth it, but let me assure you. If you are a beginner and wanting to improve flight skills, and getting really good at piloting a UAV, than this is the drone for you.I can't lie when I first started it was hard but then the amazing customer service help me overcome the difficulties I faced. My only recommendation for you is that you purchase an 11 volt rechargeable LiPo battery for the transmitter because this drone, will last you a very long time. And if you're like me, then you're all about saving money and at the same time getting that same and if not I better quality product. That's why I recommend this drone here over others.

Good product, easy to fly, only problem I had was at about 20 meters up and 30 meters distance the quadcopter suddenly lost all power and fell to the ground. No explanation for as to why it happened. I contacted the seller and was told that they would look into the problem. I am still waiting for an answer. Fortunately it fell in an open area and only had a broken prop. Since then it has been o.k.

Had a trouble to get it calibrated, they walked me through the operation so every thing came out fine Great drone but little experience came in handy.

I was apprehensive at first however once charged and ready to fly I find this quad to be outstanding. The price for features is over the top for me. I am enjoying this drone a lot!!! If you are thinking about an inexpensive quad-drone I would recommend this one. Very stable, excellent camera and a whole lot of fun!!!!
