I was hesitant to buy this because it was so expensive. It has been wonderful. My wife took my son and some of his friends on a trip our first weekend with the rack. She was worried about taking bikes as she hasn't used a bike rack before. When she got back she kept saying how easy it was to put bikes on, lock them up, and take them off.This really made the purchase worth it.I can't say much here that you won't see in the youtube reviews. I can just echo that it is just as easy to put together and use as they say. It feels premium, looks premium, and has been wonderful to use.

Best rack ever. The lights, the tilt, the materials! It isn't cheap but I love it.

I rarely take the time to write reviews but this bike rack is the best money I have spent since I can remember. Despite the fact that the Kuat Piston Pro X costs nearly $1400, it is worth the investment in my opinion. As I usually do (drives my wife crazy) I researched bike racks to an almost unhealthy extent. My reasoning was that I wanted something that would protect/haul our nearly $15k eMTBs. When you are attempting to transport your precious bikes around, you want something that is sturdy most of all, and anything else is really a bonus. Not only is this thing rock solid and aesthetically pleasing, but an absolute breeze to use. There is no part of the bike rack that touches the bike itself. So, you don't have to worry about straps or rubber bits on mounting arms (like the NV 2.0) that scratch your bike and/or rims. The roads where I live aren't in the best condition. Our eMTBs are @ 50lbs ea. and I am 100% confident that our bikes are safe while driving on our severely unmaintained, rough roads. The best part is how easy it is to load and unload our bikes. I am used to throwing a blanket or two over my tailgate and transporting bikes like that for years but lifting those heavy bikes over the side of my lifted F250 just isn't fun at all. Since I purchased the Kuat bike rack, I never thought to myself "I'd love to go riding but it's such a hassle to transport them". That thought process actually used to deter me from going on occasion. I just love this bike rack and my wife is sick of hearing about it, haha.

This is a great rack with a ton of features and it very solid and well designed. Our issue with it was that my husbands bike has a 51.5” wheelbase. The rack advertises for 53” wheel base. We have to really really push to get just one click out of each arm and I have to admit I feel sooo unsafe with that being the case. The teeth on the locking mechanism are very fine and add to that a tone of pressure only on the very last tooth? How long until his bike goes bouncing down the road. In the day of the long wheelbase bike I wish they could have made this to accommodate longer bikes. The only other option is a 1up Equip D rack, but it is not at all the same quality as this rack. This rack makes 1up seem flimsy. I’m really torn about giving up on it or tempting fate.

My wife and I recently bought e-bikes and we were looking for the easiest way to transport them.I did a lot of research on bike racks. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos on you tube. This was the bike rack I kept coming back to. I must say a was a little bit hesitant about it because of the cost. But after more and more research I decided to get it. I’m certainly glad I did. The quality of it is outstanding and the ease of use is amazing ! For the investment we made in our e-bikes, this was absolutely the right decision. Now that we got it and see the quality and how easy it is to use, I definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to make the purchase. Thanks Kuat for a great product. Best build quality by far of any rack I’ve used. Love the single hand lever activation for tilt down and support arm release. Nice feature of magnetic cable ties for 4wire connector keeps the wire nicely in place. I love that I can go from road to far to Mtb without any changes. Super easy, looks great, works great.

I bought this rack to get my bikes out of the back of my car. Wow it this a great rack. Super clever design and easy to assemble and use. Quiet on the back of the car with absolutely no rattle anywhere. So glad I made this purchase. If only the keyholes had covers then this would last forever.
