Spider-Man/Deadpool 2: Side Pieces Paperback – January 1, 2017

It is a good book. If you are wanting to continue the story from the first one it is not a good book. I'm giving it 5 stars based on the quality. But I was very angry when I opened it to find its just random stories compiled and one is from the early years and the art is from that time. So I'm ok with this book. I am not happy that it wasn't clearly labeled as non canonical. This does not progress the plot in anyway. It is a good read. Penn and teller are in it and Penn wrote the story for that little tale. Be warned it is a cash grab by marvel.

This does not continue the story that was started in Vol. 1, but that is the point of this book. It's the side stories, hence the title "Side Peices". They were amazing and fun stories though. If you don't want side stories skip to Vol. 3. Otherwise this is the Spider-Man/Deadpool comic for you. This is especially good for people who don't want to follow a long story.

This book contains a bunch of one-shot issues that were used as filler issues so that Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness would have more time to work on the current story arc. The ones I really I like are the Christmas issue and Monsters Unleashed tie-in.Mostly, I have mixed feelings when it comes to filler arcs. When I watch an anime, there is always a filler arc that is unrelated to the current storyline and sometimes that arc is too long and pointless. However, since this is a Spider-Man/Deadpool series, I don't mind the filler issues at all.

I'm pretty surprised by the negative reviews of this book. No, it's not a continuation of the plot from the last volume, however, I think the title "Side Pieces" is a good enough indication of that; these are "side" stories. And they are very well written side stories. I was thoroughly satisfied with this purchase.If you love Deadpool or Spiderman or both, you'll love this book. Period.

A great series of adventures of Marvels 2 best characters. Just a really good time with a little of the hard hitting issues was know for each character. Extra points for the beautiful art style, very clean cut with excellent popping colors. Very clean

As other reviewers have stated, this volume is not a continuation of volume 1 and instead consists of filler issues with guest writers and artists. In that regard it's...okay. It's about what you would expect from filler. The stories often hit you over the head with their jokes but still some manage to land and be funny. Of the whole collection the best issues are probably the Christmas one and the Monsters Unleashed! tie-in. These issues get the closest to emulating the banter and wit of the previous volume. If you want to have a complete collection then it won't hurt to buy this. If you don't care about that sort of thing you can skip it no problem.

Fun little collection of Spider-Man/Deadpool stories. I really like these two together.The stories in this collection aren't connected but Deadpool and Spider-Man are. Forever. Heartmates.

Fun stuff as usual. DP and Spidey kick bottoms and take names and have hi-jinks as one would expect. Excelsior!
