Quality film!
I really like this wrap, used a gray base coat and one hit wonder 2k clear coat aerosol can. It went on smooth and looks great! Definitely will purchase more as needed! Labeled for which side goes on water. Highly recommend!

High Learning Curve
I purchased this film to dip some interior trim parts. I decided on this particular brand solely based on the carbon fiber pattern. It looked the closest to real carbon weave. I have never dipped anything before purchasing this film and expected a high learning curve and boy was there. The good news is that there was more than enough film to practice with. I dipped one part once, and the rest 2 or more times. I only bought the film and activator and decided not to get the base primer because the parts I was dipping were a silver color and that would provide a good base color already. The lack of a primer was probably a mistake on my part because I was having a hard time getting good adhesion of the dip to the part surface. I would get bubbles where it didn't stick at all, or it would start to come off during the rinsing stage. I got around this by letting it sit for a few hours and then rinsing. Another issue I was having would be the pattern itself would stretch apart as I was dipping to the point where it would break up some. If I messed up, it was fairly easy to remove as long as you did it right away and used rubbing alcohol.I also watched many YouTube videos for tips and one thing I learned was to frame out the film in masking tape so it doesn't expand out when you spray on the activator. I used a tote full of warm water like the instructions said. I also changed the water out after each dip. I cleaned each part with rubbing alcohol before dipping. After all the parts were dipped, rinsed, touched up and dried, I clear coated them with a satin clear from Rustoleom. I didn't want an overly glossy appearance in the car.Overall I am satisfied with the results, it was a lot cheaper than taking it somewhere but I definitely does not look professional. I would rate my results a 7.5 out of 10. If I was to buy this again, I would buy the base color primer. I am assuming it would yield better results, but I can't say for sure. I want to give it more than 3 stars because I feel like my lack of experience has more to do with the performance than just the film, but at the same time I feel like the film itself should have performed higher than it did.

Do not buy
I ordered this Carbon fiber hydro dip to do some parts. Put it in the tank with the side labeled this side down just like it said let it hydrate for 90 seconds, water temp 88°f, hit it with activator and nothing. Doubled checked to make sure I had the right side down did it all again and the film never hydrated "turned to liquid". I tried to dip the part anyways and created a big mess, now I have to sand the part repaint it and start over. I emailed the company told them about this issue with no help from them besides them telling me I must have done something wrong when I have hydro dipped multiple times before with no issue. I would not buy from this company again.

Two attempts, followed directions closely. It began to fall apart with one pass of release agent. It then clumped. I’ll try a few more pieces. Not impressed.
