I needed some type of sturdy storage for my potatoes and onions. I wanted them to be close at hand sitting on my countertop. I looked at various styles and wasn't happy. Then I saw this one. It's metal and wood so it's strong. It has detailing without being too intricate. And lastly, it's practical because it sits on my counter within close reach. A bonus is the fact that it can function as two tiered or separately as two baskets. It has everything I was looking for.For me it's perfect but it may not work for everyone. It has a bit of a country home vibe that may not match everyone's kitchen or dining room. As two baskets, it takes up a bit of room on a table or counter top. Also one needs to pay close attention to the height measurement. It won't fit under my kitchen cabinets because it's too tall. Moving it to a different location between cabinets works great for me but it may not for others. Again, pay attention to the measurements and where you plan to place it.I've attached a few photos. One shows the packaging it comes in, which did a great job of protecting it, especially since our delivery guy just aims and tosses our packages on to the front porch. Another shows the assembly instructions and hardware. It's very simple to put together. Took me less than five minutes. Finally, the completed product filled with potatoes and onions. For those of you wondering how much it will hold, the last photo shows 5 pounds of normal sized russet potatoes and 4 medium sized sweet potatoes in the bottom basket. The top is holding two large sweet onions plus 4 smaller Vidalia onions.This was a win-win situation for me. The sturdiness I hoped to find, the tasteful looks and a size that is big enough to hold an ample amount of vegetables. I recommend this wire basket set to cooks who want their vegetables nearby plus anyone else to wants a quality holder for fruits or vegetables. Also, it might work for certain types of craft items too, especially since the bottom of each basket is solid wood.

This 2-tiered basket is excellent for storing fruit that you don't want to be stacked (bananas on the top, and oranges and apples on the bottom!) It's also great for displaying birthday cupcakes or xmas cookies. Would buy again.

This is the best looking fruit basket I’ve seen yet. Looks modern and clean and I love the wooden base on the bottom of the baskets. It’s larger than I thought but I got used to it and now kind of glad it is bigger. We usually have a lot of fruit in the house, so now they will have a home. Looks good on the dining table or on the kitchen counter. Sturdy and easy to carry. Very happy with it!

Nice design, weighted well to hold top heavy items, I like my fruit on the bottom and veggies on top. Also will use the top for bread. Easy assembly, easy clean since wooden bases are simple to remove. I like that I can use the baskets separately. Took off one star because the metal stem has a slight dent.

Excellent item for placing your fruit or other veggies for ripening. Feel certain it would complement any decor; but, most importantly it is roomy and very functional.

This is better looking than the pictures. It looks so lovely on our counter. Best purchase! Love the two tiers so I can separate stuff.

If you are considering to buy this, DO IT! It is beautiful for the price, perfect size as it fits under my cupboards, and can be used as 2 baskets or a tier tray. I use it for my veggies on the bottom and fruit on the top. I have bamboo accents in my kitchen and this looks amazing!
