I’ve been using coconut butter for many, many years. I’ve tried many brands, from the least expensive to the “I seriously can’t afford this …but… I’m gonna try it anyway”! Here’s what you need to know: When you get your first jar, the coconut butter is going to be rock hard, if the temperature is below 76F (around 24c), pretty much like coconut oil because there’s a lot of the beneficial fat inside the butter. Coconut butter is basically, ground to a pulp dehydrated coconut. (I have known this forever! Why do I keep buying it? … Convenience, I guess!) Before you open your jar of coconut butter, sit the jar in a low simmering pot of water for a while until the all the oil is melted. You have to check on the jar, I’ll say every 15-20 minutes (depending on your room temperature). The thing is that you have to be sure that the oil and “pulp” (the white actual coconut meat) are fully incorporated. You will freak out because your product at that point will be a white really oily liquid! You will be so disappointed that you will think, “I’m going to wait until it cools down and then throw it in the garbage with the money I spent on this.” But suddenly your curiosity will literally force you to taste it … a tiny 1/4 tsp that almost immediately becomes a full Tb. And you will realize that … “WOW! This is incredibly delicious!” If you are not strong or disciplined, that tablespoon will be jumping inside your mouth at least once more, and your tastebuds will co-conspire and demand for that ever illusive “little bit more”. You will be strong and walk away and engage an loose yourself inside your never ending to do least! After some time you will have the (real or made up) necessity to go to your kitchen, but the first thing that enters your mind is … “Hmmmm… let me check on that “coconut greasy liquid’! You open the jar and you start believing that MIRACLES DO HAPPEN! That delicious “coconut greasy liquid” has transformed into the MOST AMAZINGLY-SUPER-DELICIOUS, CREAMY AND SMOOTH coconut butter on the surface of earth! And you are gone! You have melted your entire existence in it! Very dangerous stuff!

The best I've found and smells so good!

I was using the Artisana coconut butter but got tired of the order not arriving so I saw this brand. I saw the reviews and was not sure how it would compare due to some of the reviews. I got the product fast. I have to say I love this. I think it is better tasting than the Artisana and has a lower price plus quicker delivery. I will end up ordering the larger container next time

I eat a lot of coconut butter and normally buy 2 other brands but decided to try this due to the price point. Although it's not bad tasting, it was far heavier in oil than the other brands and took quite a bit more heating for me to be able to blend it to coconut butter consistency. The taste of the other brands I buy are definitely superior to this brand. In my opinion, I would spend more money on the better quality brands. My top choice is Artisana followed by Nutiva.

Great product

Terrible. There were 2 layers of different colored product in the jar. The first colored part melted fine on the stove top, but I got sidetracked, and it burned. When I tried to soften the bottom layer, which was darker in color, in the microwave, it wouldn't melt. Tried it on the stove top and it turned into chunks. I do not recommend this product.

I bought this for a recipe, first time I ever tried it. This has a very good flavor. You do need to follow the directions on the jar. I put the jar in sauce pan with water about half way up the jar. Melt very slowly & stir constantly. Then it will be ready to spoon or pour for recipes. I will buy this again.

I really like the flavor of this coconut product, I initially use it for my smoothies as added flavor and it hasn't disappointed. I don't have anything bad to say about this product, I throw it in with my stir fry once in awhile or just when I'm cooking for some fun flavor.
