Used on our vacation at the Airbnb we rented. Worked great at the fire pit there. The best thing about it is the sides are rounded up so whatever you are grilling, won't fall off. Easy to assemble. Good size for several burgers or whatever meats you are cooking. Very sturdy and good quality product. Would definitely recommend!!

Love this! We boondock a lot, and most of the fire rings we run into are uneven or built with huge rocks that make normal grates useless. We’ve tried a bunch of portable options over the years, and none of them worked well—either we couldn’t get them level, they were too small, or they wouldn’t fit inside the oversized fire pits we sometimes find. I was worried this one wouldn’t be stable, but the stake went into the ground easily (to be fair, we’ve only used it in hard-pack so far) and it felt solid. It took me a minute to figure out how to get the grill leveled, but once I did, it was simple. I was also a little concerned about how much weight it could hold, but it handled steaks, burgers, and brats with no problem. I wouldn’t put a heavy pan on it, but for basic grilling it works great. Cleaned up easily and fit right back into the surprisingly nice cover. Highly recommend for anyone who camps off-grid or deals with uneven fire rings.

The Stromberg Carlson Stake & Grill makes cooking over a campfire so easy! We've tried to use those built-on grates over the fire rings at campgrounds, and while they work, they're certainly not what I would consider a good option. We took this on our camping trip last week, and it performed flawlessly. Adjusting the height and position of the grill is effortless. The stake is pretty robust. There is some mild deformation from where the back of my hatchet glanced off the edge of it when I was hammering it into the ground, but that's more my problem than the product's. The finish on the grill seems to be of very good quality, and so long as it is taken care of I feel like it should provide good service for many seasons. We did have an issue with the bag when it arrived. The pouch that the stake slides into was already torn. I contacted the seller, and they reached out very quickly that they had messaged the manufacturer and would let me know. Before we were even back from our camping trip, there was a replacement sitting on our front porch. So, kudos to both the seller and the manufacturer for outstanding service after the delivery! All-in-all, very pleased with this purchase and so long as it holds up as well as I believe it will, I would purchase another one whenever this one can no longer be used.

Pretty awesome. Got one for camping. Working so good, got one for home fire pit too. Lots of room for cooking and stays pretty sturdy.

I really love this grill. The only reason for 4 stars is because I feel like the end of the stake that goes into the ground should be longer and have a sharper point. What would make it super nice, would be if that end was spiral with a cross bar to twist in the ground. That way you wouldn’t need a hammer and board packed to hammer it in the ground. For those that buy this, I suggest a backwards lean to the stake as the grill is very heavy. I needed something easy to take to my daughter’s when I need to grill at her house. So I bought chafing racks from Sam’s, and used a 2” full steam table pan for the charcoal. Drilled 1/2” holes around the sides for ventilation. Worked like a charm. I can’t wait to try it over a real fire when weather in South Louisiana is much cooler.

Grate is sturdy and provides a nice area for cooking. The bad holds everything for travel or storage. Pretty easy to clean.

I have camped for years, and I must say this was the best thing I have ever purchased. I always cook over the fire. I usually lay food on rocks near the fire or on top of whatever I can find and put that over the fire. My food would come out undercooked or burnt. However, this past camping trip, the stake and grill changed all of that! I even cooked perfect frozen pizza over the fire!!! It was easy to set up and maneuver.
