Works well, lightweight, rechargeable battery is a plus! The only thing I wish were different is that you can't have the rechargeable battery plus battery backup, so if it dies in the middle of use, you have to go add batteries. Granted, the rechargeable battery seems to last a while and charges quickly, so it isn't a dealbreaker. I think it would just be nice to have "emergency batteries" in the speaker just in case. Overall, the speaker is loud, the price is amazing, and it's a good purchase!

I was skeptical at first because it’s size, but this megaphone has all the volume I need to coach rowing practices! Rechargeable battery lasts a long time, athletes can hear me clearly, and my wrists don’t hurt anymore (because it’s so lightweight compared to every other megaphone I’ve ever used). Would buy again.

Good product. I like the rechargeable battery feature with the 'flex' of replaceable batteries as an option. My only issue, which isn't obvious in the Amazon description, is that instead of having an "on-off" trigger to activate the megaphone with one finger, there is an on-off switch on the back side of the unit that you have to look at, manually switch on, and look at, then manually switch off. Not as convenient as I'd like or as I expected. Other than that, it's a good unit.

So you are telling me that you will not replace the item that I purchased thru you in good faith. In your first email to me you stated that you would rather I contact you instead of leave negative feedback! I had two deaths in my family and have called your customer service on each of my breaks from work and have waited on hold for long periods of time each time, I can send a copy of my phone records to prove it! One time was 14:37 minutes according to my bill, so there is a flaw with your system! I work in customer service and am surprised you do not help out your customers more. Like I said, I purchased in good faith and bottom line is you sold me a defective item that you will not stand behind and tell me to contact manufacturer. Very poor customer service! I told him all I wanted to do was exchange the merchandise and he told me it's been over 30 days so I could not exchange the merchandise. I I told him that I did not even have a response until July 11 from the Amazon customer service and so it had not been a month yet and that I was having a hard time getting through on your line I was waiting upwards of 10 minutes to get someone to answer every time I've called. I was told that's not possible because there's only a two-minute waiting period. However each time I called I was on. Hold much longer than that. I ask if he was going to accept the item for return and if he would pay shipping to return it and I was told no that wasn't available to me. So now I am stuck with an item that does not work! Nice megaphone .. model PMP50. This is the first I have owned with an external microphone. That gives it more versitility. Powered by 8 C cells .. OR .. it has a jack to feed it 12 vdc. I plan on using a small Lithium Ion ( LifePo4 ) battery in a belt pouch. There is a switch on the microphone and also on the pistol grip. As well as a shoulder strap so you can use it with microphone while hanging on your shoulder. Also has a siren, should you need it.

Great for giving instructions for youth sports. Clear sound!
