(Poppy) - Mad Hippie Cheek and Lip Tint, Hydrating Lip and Cheek Stain, Mineral Tinted Formula, 7ml, Poppy

I’m very, very picky about my blushes, but when I decided to go clean with my beauty products, I had to find something to replace my go-to Benetint lip/cheek stain that was both vibrant and long-lasting (but also toxic, yikes). I’ve always been pretty skeptical of “clean” makeup just because I’ve always assumed it doesn’t work well or doesn’t stay, but I was proven so very wrong with this tint.First, this stuff is vibrant. I mean VIBRANT. I’m on the fair-medium side and a little goes a long way with this. So while the price seems a little steep for such a tiny jar, I say it’s worth it because this should last a very, very long time.Second, I have combo skin and love my moisturizers, both of which can cause my makeup to “slip” or disappear by midday, but this stuff lasts almost the whole day. Of course, I do usually top my makeup with a setting spray which helps, but this tint does really well on its own, too!If I had to compare it to a product, I’d say that it reminds me a lot of Glossier’s Cloud Paint. It’s not creamy like CP (this tint feels kind of dry, but not in a bad way bad - a little rub of the finger is good for the cheeks + and lips!), but it’s just as vibrant and lasts the same on my combo skin. And the best part is I know that I’m only giving my skin good ingredients with this product!

I had never used a lip & cheek tint and I was both curious and apprehensive about the idea. Some reviews mentioned it being on the drier side and I do have a problem with extra dry skin & lips. Also, wasn't sure if the tint would complement my medium-light Indian complexion. I got the plum and I'm simply blown away by the quality at this reasonable price and amazed by the color. It stays forever unless you're wiping it off and yet, doesn't dry the lips or the skin at all. Such an amazing addition to my lip color cabinet.100 more points to MadHippie for making it vegan. I got this in Poppy, a pretty, warm and slightly muted red. I like that the container is glass and bamboo though I don't love that it's a pot (messy) but it's worth it to eschew plastic. The staying power is average. I find the formula very drying even when I use it with my normal lip balm. Because of this I just don't reach for it and will look for something else.

This is the perfect red. Goes on smooth and doesn't dry out my lips. I do have to use a brush to apply it, that's the only thing to consider.

Great color for lips and cheeks. Cool container!
