Americana Building Products Aluma Line Awning, 21 by 36-Inch

I have installed 3 Alumaline awnings, ranging in width from 42 inches to over 10 feet. In each case, it is very important to securely install the support spines to the house as instructed. The horizontal slats that form the awning should be hung by the top edge, again following the instructions, leaving the support spines against the house. Once all the slats are in position, they can be snapped into the spine, securing the bottom edge of the slat. The awning can then be raised to its desired angle, secured by the horizontal support bars from the awning to the house. This product is well suited for a park model RV or house trailer. It is lightweight but seems substantial, and requires no maintenance.

Easy to install, overall durable and a good value overall. Very pleased. The metal is thin but it doesn't matter once its put together its strong.

Needed an awning for my shed so i figured what the heck just order one off amazon. It turned out great! i was worried it was going to be a pain to install at first, but i used the recommendation to check youtube out and that along with the included instructions i was able to figure it out. The aluminum is 'flimsy-ish' as is most thin aluminum but that does keep the weight down and makes everything easier to handle. once it is up it does not matter...it works great. Just be careful and wear gloves when installing. For some reason i was given three 'spines' but i only needed 2. Not sure what that was about but hey more parts are better than less.

Looks nice but a couple of faults. 1st, installation instructions are not very clear & had to figure a lot of steps on my own. 2nd, it states in the description the following " overlap and repel water and the sun..." ONLY good for the sun, has a gap on top between the owning & the house's wall therefore, when it rains the water drips onto the windows.

Very good. Love it. Very sturdy and still in great shape after going through 2 days of sideways rain and 100 mph winds of Hurricane Salley. I even had hummingbirds coming to a feeder under it in the storm. Now that is testimonial.

I actually received an awning that hangs out farther than ordered, it's great, very easy to install. The box had been roughly handled, so I had some bent pieces, but easy to fix, since the aluminum is very soft. ...I guess a hail storm would beat the hell out of it.

I usually dislike leaving bad reviews but it helps others to know before buying and these awning do not deal well with rain even though they advertise that they repel rain. The design is flawed and leaves a fairly large gap between the wall and the awning allowing rain/water to just pour through onto the windows & sills. I'm pretty unhappy, feels like I just wasted a lot of time and money.

I purchased this awning while it was on sale. Wouldn't have bought it for full price, but on sale it was an excellent value! I can't speak as to the ease to install because I didn't install it myself, but my handyman said that once he figured out how to put it together it was a breeze. Awning looks great and does exactly what it's supposed to - keep the sun from shining into my window but still letting in the light.
