American Heritage Billiards Trenton Home Bar in Black

After looking and looking for a bar that had the style and dimensions we wanted, we opted for the Trenton. I thought I needed a drawer. I thought I needed a cabinet with a door. I thought I needed a bigger bar. Turns out - this was perfect. First, a bit about the space we put it in. It's a 10X12 room with a plan for the bar to go across the room (10ft). So many bars that looked way cooler were 6' wide and I thought they would fit fine. I read some reviews about making sure not to go too big and opted for this smaller bar. It was a good choice. We fit two stools with backs in the front of the bar and two backless stools can tuck under the sides and it is much better for the space than a 6 foot (or bigger) bar would have been. The fridge space is way better than a cabinet for us (our bottles are on shelves behind) and the shelves hold a ton of glasses, empty growlers, warm beer and soda ready to move to the fridge and the extra booze that doesn't fit on the shelves.I am only going 4 stars, because, frankly, it's has very little "wow factor" as far as look and material go. Yes, people say "wow a bar!" but just because there IS a bar. Not because the black MDF looks particularly attractive or cool. We wanted form and function and we wanted it quick so I'm not complaining, but if you are looking for a nice bar top, or foot rails, or charm - you're going to have to go up in price. At least that's what I found during my search.This bar is a magnet, and already has turned a few "I'll stop over for a beer" nights into "how the heck is it 2AM?!?!" nights. Love this bar.

Seriously ?? It's 995$ piece of furniture and we have to build it ourselves ???? SERIOUSLY???? I didn't buy an in expensive piece of furniture for a reason ....
