This isn't a tiger skin or persian rug. You're getting what you pay for and I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. Works great on vinyl! This mat does have a special surface underneath that does a pretty good job at preventing it from sliding around. My office/gaming chair rolls great over it although my chair stays mainly stationary. I like the feel of the mat on my feet with socks. Very comfortable while sitting long hours at my desk working. I maybe wish I got the larger version but I must recommend this product for hard floors!

We live in a rental and my desk chair was scratching up the pretty hardwood laminate flooring. Finally got this mat put down and I already wish I'd bought a bigger one so it fit all the way to my sewing machine,too. Perfect size at my desk. I couldn't peel off the plastic sheeting like it says to above in the listing but I don't think it's going to matter in the long run. It looks very nice. Yes, it came folded but most of the folds came out easily, even being re-folded. I would buy it again, just wish I could have gotten the gray instead of the black. My chair wheels evidently need cleaning and it tracked onto the mat.

I'm not super needy so it's doing what I NEED it to do for the time being and that's not not disrupt my neighbors below my with my office chair all dang on day.lol.It's wrinkled at first but flattens out.the grip is alright.it gets dirty so fast. I bought this to put under the chair [desk] in my she-shed. It is just pitiful, not much more than a large piece of felt. It's awkwardly small--not big enough for any particular direction. That said, I'm keeping it because the she-shed budget has already spiraled out of control. I had already committed to buying the bare basics from here on out, and I just need to protect the painted concrete underneath it. If I sit still in my desk chair, it will be fine.
