I got the ELRS version, and the range is quite good. Also since this is the base version, I can always mod it however I want to.

software and firmware updates were useless didn't make a difference the transmitter just would not work it kept saying no telemetry detected when trying to create a model there is something wrong with the radio for sure if your thinking of buying one don't was your time and money i don't get it it had lots of good reviews i guess i got the bad one

If you are going to use this for primarily RC application, buy Multi-Protocol version.buy ExpressLRS version, if you are ONLY going to use ExpressLRS and not for conventional RC.because there are many options for external ExpressLRS modules from several makers,so you can add ExpressLRS function in the future easily.where as you only have 1 option for external Multi-Protocol Module.also, internal ExpressLRS module has low output power, compare to external modules.
