It is definitely better than the manual grinders or the old mortar/pedestal method. However it definitely needs more oomph in grinding. It can take several minutes to grind enough spices to coat both sides of a steak like tbone or new York strip. A sleeve to hold the batteries together while assembling would also be nice.

All style no performance, would not grind a flax seed as advertised

Difficult to load and I found the steel containers extremely difficult to open( I actually had to pry one of them open with a paring knife). Grinds pepper slowly, also. Loading is a pain and the grinder too little and must be refilled often.

I had to return this product, terrible, would not recommend
