Great chews, tasty and give me energy for long runs. I also use them while doing other sports if I need a quick hit of energy. They’re great!

These are basically expensive candies. Do they work? Yes. Do they work better than, say, Starbursts or Orange Slices? No. Save some of your bling and hit the candy aisle.

Discovered these via a friend who shared some throughout a recent 5-day trip in the Eastern Sierras. She packed about 10 of these of varying flavors, but quickly discovered she prefers salty things (jerky, nuts) to get her energy boosts. I more than happily took these off her hands and they helped me speed through formidable ascents to reach our camp faster. I will definitely be packing these on future backpacking trips allotting 1-2 per day.
