I have a 30 Gal tank and i bought one of the COODIA Aquarium Hood Lights with the color LED lights nine months ago.I made the mistake of not using a glass top with the light so after a while i noticed deposits of mineral scales on the light housing from the water occurring. The mineral scale is tough like barnacles to scrape off. I bought this product because it claimed to remove the scale deposits by dissolving it. It was the only cleaner i found safe for use around aquariums. Some parts will cleanup quickly when the product starts the foaming action. Other parts that are more heavily coated with the mineral scale requires mechanical scrubbing from a stiff nylon brush to help the cleaner break down the scale. The light cleaned up just fine i will be getting a glass top to protect the light and address the scale early before it gets too heavy.
