The Best Sage
The smell is strong, and I only have to burn it for a few minutes to have the smell all over my house. I believe it will last a long time if I use it this way.

This stuff is real. I've made my own dragon's blood sage smudge sticks before.
Instructions of how not to set anything on fire and my true opinion. I have made my own dragon's blood sage smudge sticks before. It's a tedious, costly task. You have to crush rock hard dragon's blood resin chunks with a mortar and pestle forever. Then you soak those pieces in 99.9 % (expensive, and it evaporates after opening) pure rubbing alcohol with a tightly sealed container for weeks. Stir it every day and don't let it dry out. Make an area to paint your sticks that is covered with something protective and "wear gloves". Don't get it on your fingers or let drip it on anything. It permanently stains EVERYTHING. Now when you coat smudge sticks, get a paint brush or find something big enough to roll it in. Sounds like fun doesn't it? My pictures show an old stick I made (the larger one) and the newer one I bought here. I don't think I used enough of my dragon's blood resin because it wasn't as dark as these. Mine is over a year old and has faded a bit. I know there are 2 kinds of dragon's blood. Mine was the darker kind and some people complained these sticks were not dragon's blood because they were not orange. Maybe they had low quality or the other kind. I can smell dragon's blood on these smudge sticks so it does contain true dragon's blood. Whether they added more dragon's blood or dye to make them darker I can't say. This is not paint like some people complained about. They are just uninformed. How to burn without setting everything on fire: 1) First of all get yourself a jet flame torch lighter. This is very important. Nothing will light smudge sticks like one of these. I'm so tired of people complaining it won't light. That's because the center of a smudge stick are stem sticks like it has to be. If it were all leaves it would go up in flames, think about it. It would completely crumble and you'd have a brush fire in your home. Think how hard it would be to light a stick on fire with a regular Bic lighter. 2) Take your torch lighter and light the center of "one end". Light it over cement, the kitchen sink or outside carefully. Make yourself an aluminum foil boat like my pictures. Have this ready for your lit stick to hold it. While still in your fire proof area gently blow on it to make it smoke. If it goes out, light it again. You can carry the lighter with you in case it goes out. Gently blow on it once in a while but don't blow sparks all over and set your house on fire. 3) If you are trying to cleanse your home of something, start on the lowest level or basement. Go to each layer of your home until all of it is covered. Be strong, don't be polite. Open every room door, drawer, cupboard, closet door, refrigerator, microwave and leave them open at least until smoke gets in. If weather permits, crack open windows and doors. Set up fans to blow the smoke in every nook and cranny. Say, this is MY HOME. Only the living can be here. You have to leave and not come back. You are unwelcome, unwanted and uninvited. LEAVE this property now and don't come back. Never use the word "please" and don't be a wimp about it. You might have to do it more than once or even weekly depending on what it is bothering you. I have had things run from the smoke. I won't explain how I knew, I just knew, but there was a commotion in my home. Review of these smudge sticks: I bought these smudge sticks because at the time they were even cheaper than plain sage smudge sticks. I have burned through nearly half the box so far. They work for what I need them for and are the real thing. I've been using smudge sticks for over a year. They keep my house clean of what wants back in. I save the ashes and make black salt with them too. Just look up how to make DIY protection black salt recipe and you'll see how to make it and use it. That's helpful too for what I need. Please find my review helpful if you did.

Great for smudging
I purchased this to create bundles for my retreat. The color dye is consistent and does not bleed onto your hands. The scent is powerful and the smudge is great. I will purchase more for my next retreat
