Received with a failed Hard drive and support was a joke
So let me start by saying that the system has its ups and it's downs the touch screen is fairly responsive but the glass smudges so quickly that it makes you not want to use it. The touch pad is extremely unresponsive at times or so I thought but it turns out that I had a failing hard drive and which was causing everything to lock up and thus my touches weren't being properly registered. After figuring out my hard drive was failing by running a few tests. Industry standard tests at that and explaining to HP that the system can't even complete it's extended hard drive test because it locks up for hours and never gets past 10% they told me I could send in my system after first arguing with me that I just needed to do updates.I had of course already done those and provided support at this point with all the information I had showing it was in fact failing. And their solution was to send it and wait 5 -10 days to get my out of the box unit back. Instead of just sending a hard drive. Was not happy so I reached out to the seller to see if there would be any remedy or at this point to just return the system. They also tried the back and forth of having me do basic troubleshooting even after explaining I had already done that. Eventually after going back and forth with them for 6 days I just brought a new hard drive myself and installed it and it works just fine. Took all of 2 mins to replace.Laptop has its ups and its down but be warned support apparently does not have an option other than mail in for this unit for anything that happens to it. If you can handle that, than it isn't a bad laptop for the price but the warranty and service leave a lot to be desired.
