The smell -- yes, smell -- is overwhelming.
When I opened the packaging on these shoes there was an overwhelming sick-sweet plastic smell. I thought it would quickly abate, but the smell took over my closet after less than an hour. I've since had them outside -- in all types of weather -- for more than a month and the smell is still there. I thought these would be great for traveling, but I can't imagine opening up my suitcase after a few hours with these smelly gems inside...
