Vacuvita® One Touch Vacuum Storage System, Resealable and Reusable Vacuum Sealer - White

The vacuum nozzle works normal when new, but after you take it apart for cleaning, it is very cumbersome to put back together. It is very cheaply made. One of the two tiny plastic posts inside (see picture) became twisted (due to poor strength) and the valve ball housing is now unusable. The valve ball housing cap does not twist back on.Does this sound complicated? You bet it is. My wife kept struggling with it and I did, too.Now we have this expensive vacuvita, multiple boxes and bags, but a 50 cent plastic piece is the weak link that made the entire system break down.I do not recommend this to anyone.*UPDATE*after several weeks of waiting after contacting vacuvita support, we received the replacement part from the Netherlands (that was more than 6 months ago). We got it work again, kind off. But now for some reason it became difficult to suck air out of the containers we purchased. Also, the containers (which were very expensive), are not clear, so we really never knew what you have inside unless we put stickers on them. Using the code and the phone with the containers is not practical at all in the real world.Overall my wife thought vacuvita was too cumbersome to use and she asked me to throw it all away. I did throw it away a few weeks ago, with a lot of pain, because this entire vacuvita set I purchased was very expensive and I spent a lot of time, trying to make it work for my wife.Bottom line: I still do not recommend this to anyone.

I wanted to love this product, especially since it has excellent reviews online and it looks like what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I received a product that would not work and I couldn't trouble shoot a solution. The vacuum would not seal for the smaller containers that you purchase separately. For the price paid I was hoping for something that would work correctly out of the box. After trying to troubleshoot with the included directions I still could not get the system to fully seal. I also feel it has a lot of limitations compared to other similar vacuum sealing products that I have found to be easier to use and more versatile than this product. It is hands down the sexiest looking vacuum sealing system on the market and I wanted to love it. The system should have an improved system for sealing the separate containers/bags and I would suggest designing the containers to be completely clear so that you knew what's inside.

This seemed like a premium sealer, but it stopped working within a year of purchase and minimal use. We bought it to cook sous-vide steaks once or month or so. I tried to use it today, but nothing happens when the button to begin sealing is pressed. We're very disappointed given the cost of the item. Save your self some money and just get a cheap sealer.

I love this system especially with the bags which you can open to take out an item and instantly reseal. I have not used my regular vacuum sealer since I found this system.

Liked it so much I will be purchasing one more for gift giving.Looks great in kitchen countertop.

Deserves a zero. Ridiculous. Then to add insult to injury, the Amazon SUPERVISOR Jay asked me to take a picture to send him. I purchased a 4 year protection plan but have no product!

I purchased my first Vacuvita in 2013 when it was first available through Indiegogo (crowd funding). I use the base unit to store freshly roasted coffee beans with impressive results. I also use the vacuum bags to sou vide steaks. I bought a second Vacuvita in 2020 to store bread, crackers and pasta. Thus far, both units have operated flawlessly. Vacuvita is a beautifully designed and functional kitchen appliance. I highly recommend Vacuvita for anyone who wants a premium bread box and an easy to use vacuum device for food storage and sou vide.

Ordered one, intermittent issues with it turning on and off, had to wiggle the power cable. RMA for another, came DOA. Poor QC to say the least.
