Better Houseware 441/1 Egg Poacher, 1 cup, Silver

I wanted a basic, easy to use, egg poacher. At first all I could find were electric versions with too many useless add-on features. The one makes the perfect poached egg! The price was a bit higher than expected, but since it was just what I was looking for, it was totally worth it!

So, I have what is apparently a nice version of this, but I wanted another, because they are perfectly sized to cook 2 eggs for an egg sandwich.This is super cheap. The handle is heavier than the pan, so it tips if there's nothing in the pan. The lid crumpled on the lip when it was accidentally dropped from waist height. The handle is all metal, so it gets hot. sticking it in the dish washer is a no go as well - it's all sorts of discolored and streaky now. Update: it didn't last a month before the non stick coating peeled off and I had to throw it out. Revising from 2 to 1 stars.

I am enjoying this little egg poacher…easy to use…easy to clean…perfect poached eggs.A little over priced but couldn’t find one any cheaper.

It’s fragile, I dropped the lid and one side bent in! It poaches an egg rairley well!

Not as sturdy as I would like.

We had one of these when I was a kid and I couldn't find one in the stores so bought this one. It's just what I wanted.My gas stove has supports for pots and pans that are spread pretty far apart, and this is a small pan, so I have to balance it carefully and can't put it over the center of the flame but it works absolutely perfectly! I love it! It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, arrived very quickly, it's a cinch to clean. Couldn't ask for more!

Very flimsy and cover does not fit into the ridge on the pan. If I move the pan slightly, the cover falls right off. Thecover should fit more snug in order to hold the steam in to cook the egg. I threw the package away before I looked itover. It looked okay, but when I tried to put the cover on, it slid right off. Was going to send it back , but it's moretrouble than it's worth, so when I am poaching my egg, I will just stand there and hold the cover down so the cover won'tfall off. It seems that even the steam from boiling will make the cover slide off. I haven't used it and I will look around tosee if I can buy a little more sturdy one. If I turn the cover upside down , it fits snugly, so I think the handle was puton the wrong side.

Purchased for elderly mother but worried as not very stable and the tab to lift egg poacher out is tiny, worried about scalding

Lid edge was already bent when delivered. Wouldn’t recommend, disappointed for the value I paid. Bad quality
