Must dry cheese with fan
The holes do not drain as good as they could, so I have to use my 3inch vent fan for at least 12 hours to keep the surface from being too wet for the penicillium candidum mold to grow. Best to drain curds in colander (with very small holes )first.

From Cheese Making to Orchid Planting: Versatile 7-Piece Cheese Mold Set Review
I recently purchased the 7 pcs Cheesemaking Kit Punched Cheese Mold Press Strainer, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. Not only is this set perfect for making cheese, but I discovered an entirely different use for them – orchid planters!First, let's talk about the quality of the cheese molds. The set comes with seven pieces, providing ample options for various cheese shapes and sizes. The molds are made of durable materials that withstand the pressure of cheese pressing without any signs of wear and tear. The punched holes in the molds allow for excellent drainage, promoting the formation of a perfect cheese crust. Now, here's where the versatility of this kit shines through. As an avid gardener, I realized that these cheese molds could double as fantastic orchid planters. The 0.4-liter capacity is just right for accommodating small to medium-sized orchid plants. The holes in the molds allow for proper airflow and drainage, preventing waterlogging and root rot. I found that my orchids flourished in these cheese molds-turned-planters, thanks to the ideal conditions they provided. In terms of design, the cheese molds feature a unique pyramid shape that adds a touch of elegance to the cheese-making process. The molds are easy to clean and maintain, ensuring that they remain hygienic for both cheese making and planting purposes. The set's size variety allows for experimentation with different cheese styles or accommodating multiple orchid plants.Whether you're an aspiring cheese maker or an orchid enthusiast, this 7-piece Cheesemaking Kit Punched Cheese Mold Press Strainer is a worthwhile investment. Expand your cheese-making repertoire
This set of cheese molds will allow you to make a variety of cheeses in the size and shape appropriate to the style. When you begin making cheese, a single mold will do fine. You’ll be amazed enough that you end up with anything resembling cheese. But as you get better and want to expand your repertoire, you will want molds like these, with a shape suitable to the cheese you are making. When you buy a set like this, you may get more molds than you would ever use. On the other hand, this set is so inexpensive that it is still a bargain. You can easily spend half this much for each mold. So if you you want to use two for your batches, the rest of the molds are at no additional cost to you. These are as sturdy as any other cheese molds I have purchased. They hold their shape when the curds are pressed (cheese press not included!). Highly recommended.

Sturdy pyramid-shaped cheese molds
These are very nice smaller cheese molds. The plastic is thick enough to hold its shape and not flex, and the drain holes are all very clean.I believe this shape of mold is generally intended to make one style of cheese (Valencay), but it could be used for a lot of other things, if not as traditionally. While it isn’t a rectangular block shape, it is close enough that it would work well for cheeses to be sliced into sticks or cubes (like paneer), or for tofu.If the shape of these molds will work for you, this is a nice set. 7 molds is more than most people will need, but it does offer some more flexibility (like using another mold as a weight). Since they nest in each other, storing 7 molds takes only a tiny bit more space than storing just one.
