The opening goes all the way to the feet, and these brands don't have buttons, they have magnets. Very fun and easy to use.

Newborn & 0-3M sizes open from neck to upper thigh and have mitten cuffs. 3-6M sizes & up open from neck to crotch with a roomy seat for easy diaper changes.

Q: What size are the magnets?

I don’t know but it just runs up along the sizes of the opening. Not to big.
