The box is sealed in cellophane, underneath this a ribbon seals the box, this ribbon has the 'Jaques of London' brand all over it. Inside some parchment paper is found with a newspaper type article regarding someone who invented badminton, makes the initial presentation feel more authentic. A card is also present requesting you scan a QR code and enter the printed code to win something, in all honesty, I never use or would contemplate proceeding with this kind of marketing, this went straight in the bin.📦In the box you'll get the following:💎1 x Plaster block measuring around 18 x 15 x 2cm🪨1 x Plastic chisel💎1 x Plastic mallet🪨1 x Brush💎1 x Spray bottleThe supplied tools are very effective but this stuff makes a MESS! Someone on here has said it's mess free, I don't think so, my son had this plaster stuff all over his clothes, on the floor, bits of plaster was surrounding the work area, newspaper helps gather a lot of the bits but be ready for some cleaning work afterwards :)All the stone/shell pieces in this plaster was spread evenly and my son founds lots of stones and shells as well, it really is good that a mixture has been placed in this as it adds to the excitement.The chisel tool isn't the strongest and just as my son got the last gem out the tool did break but it was still useable to use on the smaller fragments to double check he hadn't missed anything.I haven't told my son this but the gems are just 'coloured-glass' which do look authentic to a child, I think the shells are real but they don't cost much, hence the low price, digging kits with real stones and fossils do cost considerably more and come with a fact sheet explaining the different stones found.On a whole, for the price this kit offers very good value for money and kept my son entertained for hours.Highly recommended.AmazonCustomer B09LR33Q9M 070622

The product itself was beautifully presented, and there were lots of gems to dig out, but it was a bit of a chore with the tools provided and the children lost interest after 10 minutes chiselling away with little to show for it, so we just ran the whole thing under a tap!

The kids lost interest after about 10 mins hammering.We did it outside but they were covered in dust, not sure breathing it in is that safe.

Thank you so much! My 8 year old daughter has LOVED this gift. We gave it to her on Christmas Day and she spent a long time on it, then continued first thing Boxing Day and back on it today. She is taking her time to be careful! Shouts with joy Everytime she finds a new gem poking out. Recommend!!

This comes so beautifully packaged - I have bought a couple for my own kids and it occupied them for much longer than anticipated- they really wanted to find every single item. They were very happy with the pretty glass stones ‘gems’ and shells that are the treasures they have to find and free. They would take breaks and come back to it each day with so much excitement and enthusiasm.I’ve bought more as gifts (the packing is very good quality and giftable) since and their friends have also loved them. Also a few of the schools mums asked for the link to buy it and have since said their kids love it.Nothing in the shops or online I’ve found as good value as this set.It is a little messy with the dust as they dig away but it’s easy to just Hoover up and left absolutely no marks to anything from clothing to fabric chairs and wood items. Very easy to clean up unlike some kids things that leave evidence of their play!The tools supplied were surprisingly durable and lasted the whole way through, expectedly do get more blunt towards the end of the ‘dig’. Also the tools are strong plastic & we had only one I caught my finger incident - for us that’s a big plus my youngest is only 4! Great half term holiday occupier.

Bought as a Christmas present for my 9 year old granddaughter, who loved it. It kept her occupied for hours but she was a little disappointed that the “gems” were made of glass and not real stones, which she has had in previous sets. Still good value and I would buy this again.
