Purchased 2 benches to replace the 4 stools I was using with my 48" trestle table in the kitchen. Arrived on time, well packaged, & assembled in a few minutes. I did use my ratcheting screw driver rather than the included hex tool, so that made it easier. Benches are very sturdy, the perfect size, and the clean lines are great for my OCD. They tuck under the table nicely in my small kitchen. Color is as shown, which is brighter (more red vs. gold) than my table but since the table is 30+ years old, it has likely faded a bit and the difference isn't enough that it looks weird. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is a great study basic shaker style bench. Easy, tight assembly in 10 minutes. Great value

Item is nice. Fit was good between all parts and took an easy 15 minutes to assemble. Only an allen head wrench is needed and is supplied. A couple of minor nicks in the wood when taken from the box, but nothing much to complain about. As others say this is more an orangish oak color than golden oak. I like the color actually as it is different enough to contrast with my oak floor. If it was part of several oak furniture items it might be out of place. I am a hefty person and it seems plenty strong enough. Finish is good, and I like the type of wood used. It is wood rather that particle board or MDF with veneer. The top of the bench isn't solid wood as it is made of fingered wood pieces. Still it is real wood, and should hold up fine. I actually would give it a 4.5 star rating if possible. The fit and finish is fine though not enough to convince someone you have a $150 bench. At the price of $50 it is a bargain as it won't embarrass you with its appearance. Though Vietnam sourced it is in the shaker tradition of being a simple unadorned piece which just enough touches not to be primitive while providing the intended functional purpose.

I ordered a "used" bench at a reduced price...what a deal! It was is great condition and very easy to assemble. I put the legs on in about 5 minutes. I will say that "honey oak" is a little more orange than I expected, but even that was not a huge problem since it still worked with the entryway decor. If you are looking for a pale, natural oak, you may not like the color. It is very sturdy and can easily support 2 or 3 people. I use it in the entryway, so that one can sit to remove boots, or other outer wear before stepping into the living room. Also great for having children sit on while adults assist with shoes, boots, snow-pants, etc. It is perfect for my needs.

This bench is made from beautifully fine-grained wood with a semi-gloss finish. The bench is very solid and sturdy (no deflection or wobble when holding a 300+ lb person or two!). The size is perfect for many locations; it is long enough to be useful for seating 2 or 3 people, but not so wide that it impedes traffic flow. After seven years of reliable service, this sturdy bench looks and performs the same as when it was brand-new. I am tempted to buy another one in case these benches are unavailable when I have a future need. The price is an excellent value for such a well-made, solid wood bench.
