Currently on the market, most sourdough starter jar lids are made of plastic or aluminum.But in the future we may develop stainless steel lids.Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes,the 650ml Sourdough Starter Jar Set has wide mouth glass jar, feeding date elastic band, thermometer strip, silicone spatula, sewn cloth cover & Metal Lid. -The starter is not included.

Q: Why aluminum lids on some and plastic on others??

The 650ml/24oz jars are aluminium lids, and the 1liter/35oz jars are plastic lids.

Q: What is the tare weight in grams of the 24oz jar?

There will be some minor weight difference from one jar to the next, due to manufacturing tolerances and issues. Mine weighs 386 grams when clean, dry, and with the temperature strip on the jar.
