Accurate dictation
I'm dictating this review with the PowerMic. While sometimes it messes up words, this is not an ordinary occurrence. When it does, you need to correct the mistake using the Dragon software, or else it will not learn from it. The really nice thing about Dragon is that it adapts to your speaking style rather than you having to adapt to it as with other speech recognition platforms, such as Apple's Siri or Google Assistant. Of course, this makes sense as you are paying a premium price for the software and this hardware to go with it. Overall, I think that this is a terrific deal for the price and will significantly affect your productivity with Dragon. One of the nice features that I like is that the record button is a push to talk by default, but this can be changed if you want to (some people might not like having to hold down the button while they are dictating, but for me, it is a good thing. I like to say things spontaneously while dictating that I do not want in the document).Another thing that I like is the ability to pick up spoken words even at a very low volume and with lots of background noise. I have dictated in the hot desk area of a WeWork, and people around me could not tell what was going on, but the PowerMic worked just fine. Compare this with a regular USB headset, and Dragon picked up words that I did not say, and the software was practically useless. There are also several configurable buttons on this device that can control various functions of Dragon software. For example, I have one set to train new words if I find that a word that I need is not in Dragon's vocabulary. When you're first getting started with the software, this will frequently happen with words specific to your profession or products of your company. As you go on with the software, you will notice its accuracy dramatically increases with every use. At this point, I can't imagine writing without Dragon and have only had this product for approximately a month.

Mic works well, you need citrix receiver extentions for button function for citrix use
I purchased this powermic III to dictate notes from home. Our EMR is Epic with Dragon Medical built in. The mic functions perfectly and captures my voice accurately for dictaction. However none of the buttons are supported and have no functionality. Attempting to configure/assign buttons with Dragon via Options does not make them functional either. The "next field" "previous field" buttons are extremly helpful navigating through our note template. There is no way to force assign the buttons on the Powermic through Windows 11 either. Not having the functinality is a deal breaker for me... if I have to press F2 to navigate the required epic note fields then this Powermic is worthless. I could just use any mic I have. Secondly, windows recognizes this mic device as a "Powermic II" and NOT a "Powermic III." Someone else noted this in another review. Older reviews from 2019 show that the mic works as intened so not sure if this is a newer windows (I am using Windows 11 Pro) issue. I also do not have a physical version installed on my home work computer; just using it with Epic with Dragon via citrix receiver. Hopefully this helps someone else trying to acheive what I needed.Edit:I got the power mic buttons to function. I use Epic/dragon via citrix receiver. You need to download the citrix receiver extentions (will also give you the functionality for phillps mic too) for dragon onto your work/home computer if you are using dragon via EPIC and citrix. Works perfectly. I found them myself but you may need to talk with your IT folks in your system.

Does not work, and Nuance knows this
From Amazon, I purchased the Nuance PowerMic III for Dragon 15 at ~ $350, along with ~$300 Dragon Professional 15 software. The only software I could find to download was for the PowerMic II. Some of the buttons on the PowerMic III did not work, nor could they be programmed. For example, the tab backward button did not work. So I called Nuance. Due to poor connection with the Nuance support team and other challenges, I was not able to adequate communicate with the Nuance technical support team. because I did not understand them. They repeatedly wanted my customer service number. I asked where I could find this number. They did not know. I explained my problem with the buttons. I was told this was a known problem of this device, and it would hopefully be fixed with the next updated software. Again, this is a $350 piece of new equipment. I asked for an estimate when I might receive the update. I asked if it would be 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months, or 10 years. They refused to commit. Based on this call, I suppose I might be waiting a decade or so before my $350 device works as promised. The technical support people recommended I use my keyboard, which since Dragon 15 works with the computer mic, sort of negates the need for a separate $350 mic. Given I spent > $500 spent on a a Dragon mic and software, I would have preferred the mic buttons worked.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND BUY!!!! LOVE it.
So far I would say this is a life changer in saving me time. I had the headset and it was nice but picked up a lot of background noise. Anytime a staff member would talk behind me or one of the kids at home it would pick up other words or not at all. At first it started to dictate slow, but I googled the user guide (because it doesn't come with a guide...which is fine) and it was very simple to switch a few buttons through options that changed that and kept the accuracy. I find it 98% accurate, and words it doesn't know you simply add & teach the vocabulary and works perfect thereafter. Programming the buttons is important, in which I wasn't planning to even use. Didn't take but 5-10 minutes for me to figure out (with online guide) and made opening the text box, (sometimes I find faster to type in dragon box and transfer than in EMR) inserting, transferring, toggling through charts so much faster. I use it with the dragon nuance medical practice edition. I work a busy IM practice, and value my time at home with my family, and this will save me a ton of time in practice and for my family time. DO NOT HESITATE! I attached picture of how I programmed my buttons (its a picture off my computer screen while programming).
