Artistic Wire is available in the largest selection of exclusive Colors and Gauges that offer striking beauty and shine. Choose colors that complement one another to achieve warm, colorful designs. Or, make a statement and add drama to your designs by using contrasting colors. The only limit in working with colored wire is your imagination. Review: I've been getting into working with brass lately after sticking mostly to copper in the past. I am doing projects and practicing techniques from a lot of books, and some of them call for 10 gauge wire, so I bought this. 10 gauge wire is actually pretty thick. I find it somewhat difficult to work with, even when dead soft. This is not the fault of the wire; it has more to do with my weak hands and wrists (I tend to buy smaller tools because I have small hands, and that may also come into play). But, this is a great size of wire if you want to hammer it into a thin bangle or cuff (though I haven't tried soldering it just yet). You may want to use nylon-tipped pliers or get some of that stuff you dip pliers into, to coat them, before using them with this wire (so you don't mar the surface). I am happy with the quality of this wire. It has a color that matches my other brass wire, findings, and blanks. It doesn't hurt to polish it a bit as that will improve the appearance. I had to get some larger wire-cutters for this because my tiny Eurotool flush cutters weren't heavy-duty enough. But it is good to have a range of tools so you can use the right one for the job. In terms of being actual 10 gauge brass wire, working with this, etc., I am happy. It is exactly what I expected it to be. If you are new to wire work, you may want to start with a smaller gauge (i.e., higher number) to get a feel for what you are doing. But when you are ready to move on to more complex or larger designs, this stuff is great for practice. Review: I wanted to make a wire sculpture with lights to go over my art table. This turned out to be the perfect wire. I wrote the word "Create" in cursive letters on a piece of paper and formed the wire to my pattern using my hands and occasionally a pair of normal pliers. It's 28 inches wide. I wrapped The Original Starry String by Brightech - Warm White Color LED's on a Flexible Copper Wire - 20ft LED String Light with 120 Individually Mounted LED's. around the wire and hung it with a ribbon. I love it. The lights cast a soft, warm light that illuminates the entire room. I made the sculpture a couple of months ago

I don't even know what I bought this for, but I have it for some reason. It is indeed 10 gauge (2.5mm) and it seems to be quality brass. I bought it over two years ago and it's still shiny, so it's got that going for it. Once I find a use for it, maybe I'll make something and see how it performs.

I made tear drop earings after flattening out the brass wire.
