Great for keeping your batteries topped off at home.
Exactly what I was looking for. I leave my trailer plugged in while at home, this keeps the batteries topped off all the time and during the camping season I keep my fridge cold and ready to go at any time. on my old camper, the 30 amp plug was directly wired and inside a compartment, on my new camper, the 50 amp service is a locking plug on th back of the unit and the cord is stored separately. Before i got this I would have to drag out my big heavy cable to connect to the twist lock 50 amp connector then I have a dogbone 50 to 30 amp adapter and a 30 to 15 adapter, I would leave this coled up under my camper and then run a small gauge extension cord to my house.

I don't have to get the heavy 50 amp cord out. But only use lights and charge batteries.
This plug adapter is great for when you just want to charge you RV batteries or use lights. I don't have to get the heavy 50 amp cord out, I can use a lighter extension cord. Be aware, limit your power usage to 15-20 amps, this adapter is not for running the AC, electric water heater or other items at the same time. I do run the frig, but, when I do, I also a #10 gage extension cord, and make sure everything else is off. Last thing, my outdoor outlets have #12 gage wire, it is heavier, less restrictive than lighter 14 or 16 gage wire.I added a picture of a wire gage showing from 0-36. Please note, the smaller the wire number, the heavier the wire.

Compact easy to see adapter
Bought this to use with a generator and trailer. Price was good. The design takes up less room than some other offerings. Seems to be well made. Mates well with trailer plug. Haven't used it yet. Will have to wait till spring to try it out. Will update review once I put it to use.

Excellent Product
I leave my camper hooked up to 110v power while sitting in the driveway whenever not camping. This way the refrigerator is continually powered & am able to perform maintenance on slides etc. This item is perfect, screwed right into the 50amp trailer power outlet. The only possible way to make it better would be including a weatherproof shroud for the 110v outlet which was easy enough for me to create.

Not what I'd hoped.
I purchased this adapter for use with my new 50 amp service RV. I was very pleased with the 15 amp version of this adapter, so I thought the 30 amp version would be perfect. The problem I have with this one (30 amp version) is that when connected to my RV, the male ground contact is at the 9 o'clock position, not the 6 o'clock position it needs to be in order to prevent stress on the adapter and the 30 amp extension cable. This RV is my first with 50 amp service. I have no idea whether all 50 amp RV connections are oriented the same way, or whether the RV connecter can be repositioned. All I know is that in my particular case, the female end of the 30 amp extension cable, the male contacts on the adapter, or both, would be damaged if I used it. I ended up purchasing a typical "dog bone" style adapter.

Works well, most useful accessory on my camper
I use this on my 50A camper connection so I can plug into a standard 120V outlet. This allows me to use a 120V extension cord, much easier to handle than a 50A cord. My Magnum Inverter/Charger allows me to set the max shore power current, so I set it to 15A, and let my 4KW hybrid inverter pick up the slack.

Really convenient when you don't need the 50 (or 30) amps.
This was a great buy. When the trailer is parked at the house or in an camp with only the basic 110 electric hook up, I can use a heavy duty extension cord rather than mess with the cumbersome, heavy 50A cable. Worth the buy!
