One of my favorite snacks!
Great value, great taste, great quality and protein content. A little addictive to eat! I love that these are good for me and not too high in calories either.

Brings back memories of my childhood
My Sicilian Grandmother introduced these amazing beans to me when i was just a little kid. I've eaten lupini beans since those days and enjoyed them. However, I've never had lupini beans with added flavor. While the flavor is subtle, I do appreciate an attempt to cover the brine taste. I never minded the brine taste, but I understand those that do.Texture and taste are what i've been used to, not too firm or too soft, bit of zing from the brine in addition to the subtle flavor. One thing I was disappointed in was the size of the beans. I am used to a much larger lupini bean. These beans are half to a third of the size I grew up with. It doesn't affect the taste or texture but I think it does hinder in the handling and skinning of the beans. Not a big deal but something to consider if you are more familiar with the larger beans. For those reviews that give bad reviews on the taste, I get it. Lupinis are not for everyone, just like edamame. However, these are one of the most amazing nutritional foods out there. High in protein, fiber, magnesium, potassium,... a true superfood.I like the packaging of this product. Easy to store and transport. Much easier than the jars I'm used to. Expiration date issues as reported by others is not an issue. Ordered the variety 8 pack and all have expiration dates of 5/2020.I like this company is trying to promote this little wonder bean. As a lupini bean lover I hope you keep it up and bring us more options for this product!

Not for me
Purchased these lupini beans after searching for a keto (high protein, low carb, high fiber snack) after recently undergoing bariatric surgery. These beans certainly provide all the above nutrients - I just personally didn't care for the taste or texture. I like beans - all kinds of beans, but these pickled bean packs just aren't for me as a stand alone snack. I found them tolerable sprinkled on a salad and mixed in with lots of other greens/tomatoes/onions etc. They are firmish to bite (not hard), sort of wet, with an outer soft layer/shell that sort of falls off. I'm glad I tried them but will not repurchase - nothing to do with the quality of the product - I just personally didn't enjoy them very much.

Simply Delicious and Better Than Protein Bars
Love them. Very delicious, healthy, and high in protein. I wish my local grocery store sold these.

Tasty and fun to eat
I really enjoy these. Because they are mostly just protein and fiber I don't really have to worry about eating too many. I eat the outer skin. I like the consistency when biting into them -- a bit of crunch but with some give, the outer skin has a chewiness that appeals to me as well. I think some people who don't like them may be expecting a dry snack. These are slightly moist and fermented, which makes them sour (the chili flavor tastes a bit like pepper jack cheese to me, that's my favorite flavor). People looking for something similar to a potato chip may not find what they are looking for in these. But with these you don't have to worry about eating fry grease or accidentally over doing it and eating too many calories (since they have so few calories it doesn't really matter how many you eat). The main down-side is that they have to be refrigerated after opening, which reduces versatility. At work to avoid having to use the communal fridge I just pack a day's worth to have at my desk and don't leave any leftovers overnight. In addition to eating them straight out of the bag, these work well on salads, on top of cooked veggies/grains, etc. If you put them on some hot food (after cooking) and they warm up a little bit, they still work well. It is a decent way to quickly add some interesting flavors protein to a dish.

Essentially wet pickled beans
I’m not sure what I was expecting exactly but what I received was a bit of a surprise. I had never had any of these beans before, so that may be why I wasn’t expecting this. My husband refuses to eat them, I however oddly don’t mind them. I do enjoy the flavors and you get quite a few beans in a pack. You do not get very many packs for the price though, but I’m overlooking that really as this is a unique treat. At least for me. If you’ve never had these before I would describe them as a wet pickled bean. They have a skin coat that you eat that falls off while you are chewing them. They are firm. I think what surprised me the most was that they were wet. Now that I’m used to them, I don’t mind it.
