Works like a charm!
Anyone who has needed to drag 100 feet of garden hose around the outside of their home knows just how much fun that can be. Even more annoying is knowing that while only 50 feet is normally what you need, the additional hose is necessary from time to time. So, what to do about those 'time to time' events? The answer: get quick-connect (and quick-disconnect) sets. I recently purchased 3 of these beauties. One connects the spigot coming out of the house to the first hose, another connects the 2 hoses together, and the last connects a sprayer or sprinkler or whatever other accessory I might need to the end of the second hose. Now the best part: like the name of the item states, it's a quick-connect device (don't need a wrench or pliers to loosen/tighten the connections), so if I don't need both hoses, it's a snap to disconnect the second hose as well as reconnecting the sprayer.A great little addition to my tool box!

So easy and saves much time - Excellent quality
If you use hoses a lot, these fittings are GREAT. You can avoid constant threading on and then unthreading hoses over and over. Instead, you just... quickly connect.Three tips:- Don't buy imitations you might get at Home Depot or elsewhere. I've tried them. They DO NOT work as well as the Gilmour ones. Use BRASS ones, not plastic.- Every 6 months or so, with frequent use, if you see any leakage, you need to replace the washers inside the female connector. Buy only Gilmour washers. They are specially shaped; others will not work. Look at the old washer before you remove it to make sure you insert the new washer correctly and not "backwards." (Male connectors use regular washers.)- Buy a good brass ON-OFF valve with an on-off handle to fit on your spigot. Leave the spigot on, with the valve off. Then, when you need it just a flip of the lever instead of many turns to turn the spigot on and off.I am constantly using hoses, and the connectors and ON/OFF valve save me much time and aggravation. Expensive, but worth it. The Gilmour quick connect fittings last for years.

Quality Solid Brass Connectors – No Corrosion or Leaks, Smooth Swivel & Comfortable to Use
My well water is very hard and the brass-colored aluminum connectors quickly corrode. They were essentially welded to the spigot after one season. Had to replace all hose bibbs because threads were so damaged after removing the cheap connectors. These connectors are solid brass and have worked perfectly for me. I use them on spigots, hoses, sprinklers & hand handles and haven’t had any issues with leaks, reduced water pressure or accidental disconnects, even when dragging a heavy duty 3/4" hose or dropping a hose handle. The swivel works smoothly, reduces twists & kinks in the hose and makes it so much more comfortable to use. After several months of use I haven’t seen any signs of corrosion or build up.I use pipe tape on all connections and put a light coat of waterproof silicone lube on the inside around the bearings. Not sure if that's been a benefit but figured it couldn’t hurt (it didn’t help at all on the cheap connectors).

Quality quick connect
This set of quick connect is high in quality! Makes changing out accessory a snap. I no longer waste time screwing and unscrewing each accessory. Just pop off and snap on. Done deal. One thing to note is that this does not have a shut off valve so you need to turn off your water source before switching accessories. You can add a valve to the end of your hose for convenience if need be. I'll be doing that later on.Tip: Wrap a the threads on the male piece a couple of times with teflon tape and that will ensure no leakage! Takes a minute to do and will save you some frustrations later on. Mine was leaking and this was on a new watering accessory. Not a big problem. I should have used the tape before hand. One downside is that you're forced to use the pro male connectors. I've tried another brand but they did not fit. I would suggest bringing in the female part to a local hardware store if you are thinking about a different brand or even model to save you multiple trips back and forth.

Received a used product
The hose connector set I received looked and felt like it had used for a while, before the previous buyer changed their mind, dug the tattered packaging out of the bottom of their garage trash can, and attached it with random twist ties. The threads were pitted and had dirt inside. The spring-loaded quick release mechanism was rough and made a grinding noise, like it had sand or grit inside. I returned it.

Simple, Sturdy, and Easy to use
I bought this Gilmour Quick Attach system after seeing it used in a youtube gardening video and my only disappointment was that I didn't get this sooner. It's easy to actuate and has a positive locked in feeling when the two pieces are mated together. I did have some leakage at first but that was due to cracks in the plastic spray gun I had. I replaced that with a new brass and composite one and the leak was remedied. These are made of brass and should last a while, especially compared to the plastic ones out there. The price was on-par-with or less-than other options but also offered a cushioned ring which others did not have.I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality Quick Connect system.

Better quality than big box plastic
I've used quick connectors for years; though mine were always the plastic ones from the big box hardware store. While I've always loved them, my husband didn't find them to be as great as I did; his major complaint being eventual leaking at the coupling joint. Since I've always considered Gilmour to be a good quality product, (I grew up with Gilmour) I broke down and bought several of their quick connectors here on Amazon. Sorry I didn't do it years ago; you get what you pay for! Now hubby is happy and frankly so am I. I thought I was happy with my previous connectors, but it pales in comparison to how pleased I am with the Gilmour Quick Connector Faucet Set. Brass trumps plastic!
