Tonzom 16 x 20 inch Wooden Frame Canvas Stretcher Bars with Thumb Tacks for Oil Painting and Paint by Numbers (4 Strips)

Bought this to frame a 16x20 paint-by-number canvas. Had no problems putting it together. The joints are tight, but that is by design. I could see, though, that if a piece is not cut precisely it might not fit with the others. But the kit I received worked perfectly and cost half as much as other similar kits found on Amazon. The more expensive ones may be more solid. Possibly. But I got the canvas stretched and stapled evenly on the frame without resorting to any tools other than a heavy duty staple gun. As long as the price stays low, I would buy this again.

wood does splinter and and is not sturdy until you tack the picture on. Then it works great. Guess for more sturdiness you could glue them together. Works for me without glue and I like that they are so easy to put together. would buy them again.

It split a little when first forcing it into the silts .. just take your time tapping with hammer very very very softly… I bought this for my paint by #. It wants you to use thumb tacks but I’ll probably use hot glue gun as well.. some type of glue..

This is truly a waste of money. You get four pieces that don't line up or glue together well. It's not square, so your picture looks weird. It's impossible to not have your painting look lumpy and it doesn't lay flat. There is no backing. They gave you four pieces of cheap wood and 15 tacks. That's it. No instructions. Do not buy this.

Aside from shipping time, I’m relatively satisfied with the frame. The slits were snug fitting and required gentle forcing together but once the pieces were connected, they stayed connected. The frame comes with ample flat-headed pushpins to mount a canvas but I’d already planned on using a staple gun. Aside from one frame bar, the staples went in as expected; the wood is sturdy. For whatever reason staples wouldn’t go thoroughly into one of the bars so I resorted to hammering them flush with the frame.I bought the frame to mount two separate paint-by-number canvases. I had begun painting one while waiting for the frames to arrive and found that canvas more difficult to install since it was trickier to line up the edges/corners. The second unpainted canvas, I marked the backside where the corners and mid-length were; and found it much easier to lining the canvas to the frame properly.The TWO frames cost the same as bundling ONE frame with the original paint-by-number canvas would have. I am satisfied with the quality considering it is for a hobby/home-decor project. If I were a serious artist looking to cost-effectively mount my work, I would look for a more professional option though.

Strongly recommended as sturdy, the frame measurement is accurate and the slots for (provided) supports align perfectly. This cannot be said of cheaper imported items available for 1/3 the price -- I purchased one of the cheap ones and threw it away as its joints were so misaligned as to be useless.

These are amazing frames. It’s my second time ordering and they made it faster than expected. They are perfect for those paint by numbers paintings that I got. Stretching the canvas over them is actually easy and nothing breaks if done right. Im giving them 5 stars.And yes they are half the price that you’d fine anywhere else.

Pieces are not separated by frame size. I ordered 5 16" x 20" and 1 11" x 14". None of the pieces make those. The bigger frame is smaller than a 16 x 20 and the smaller one has a longer side than 14. My canvases won't fit correctly. Also the sides don't interlock smoothly for an even edge.

I have ordered other wooden frames and they have usually been to feeble to put together without breaking or splitting. I ordered two if these and they were great. Would order from this company again!

This frame is nice a sturdy for my painting by numbersliked the looki needed a frame for painting by numbers and this is just right

Good quality, easy to assemble, and the price affordable.

It was harder than I thought to put together, just take your time. I had to sand down the corner on the last one.
