I am so torn while writing this review. The idea of this tea set is perfect. It is absolutely adorable (we got the cat set). The details and the different but coordinating cup/plate settings are wonderful. I got this for my daughter, but honestly this was actually fulfilling my own inner child’s wish for a cat tea set haha. I love the tin construction and the carrying case.Everything is perfect EXCEPT functionality. And herein lies the dream crushing truth: you cannot use this for a tea party unless you want a big mess. The spout on the teapot leaks. The cups leak. When the lid is on the teapot you can’t actually pour tea out of the spout because there’s no vent type hole for air to be distributed so the tea can pour out. Even after drying meticulously we still got rust appearing on the knob of the teapot lid. The teapot dented after one short 1-2 foot fall off of a table.Like I said- my hopes were SO high for this, because from everything I saw and read in the product info it seemed like a dream. The company really needs to make sure in the description that they mention liquid cannot be held without leaking. Wahhhhh. If they were able to improve their design to get rid of the leaking problem then I’d totally buy the new and improved version.

My 2.5 year old was so excited to have a tea party. This set is adorable and she loved it! I actually put a little water in the tea pot, we gathered her baby dolls around and enjoyed some cookies with out tea. The pot doesn't poor very fast so it wasn't too messy when she poured the water into our cups.Tomorrow we plan a picnic and tea party in the yard.I wish I could take half a star off but I wont. The only draw back was that I had assumed the box/case was going to be tin too. It's more like a nice shoe box that you would buy at hobby lobby. Otherwise I have absolutely no complaints.

Ordered this for my 3yr old daughter. She woke up one day asking for her tea pot, I had no idea what she we talking about because she didnt have one. Come to find out she had been using our big heavy measuring glass as a tea pot, so right then I started looking into tea sets for her.She has been patiently, but excitedly waiting the two days till it arrived. It came today and the look on her face when I set it down in front of her was priceless. This tea set is absolutely perfect. The quality is great, the size is dainty and adorable, and the colors are beautiful. The lid of tea pot comes off and it pours smooth and bot too fast. My 7yr old son is having a lot of fun with it also. He's been sitting down having a tea party with his little sister and her stuffed animals and dolls. Great purchase, I can already say that this will be brought out and enjoyed daily. We have a lot of fun indoor and outdoor tea parties to come.

I bought this for my three year old for her birthday. She loves tea parties and cats, so is there a better gift?This set will clearly last a long time to come. It is very sturdy, but doesnt lack in cuteness like other stout sets do. I am a bit disappointed that the suitcase carrying case is cardboard, but it is almost laminated, so it will last with proper supervision.The absolute best part of this set however is when the teapot has its lid on, the liquids pour out extremely slow, you almost have to shake it! This is great with smaller children (as long as they don’t figure out the trick). For me or the older kids, we simply break the seal by tipping the lid slightly when we pour and it pours normally.

This review is based upon arrival, first view. It's a gift so hasn't been used yet.... will update later. It's super cute, colorful, seems durable enough. My 4 year old loves to dig out my dishes to have a tea party, I think she is going adore this set. I like that its light weight metal and not plastic. Pleased thus far....

My 4 year old daughter is obsessed with ballerinas and tea parties so we could not go wrong with this purchase. When she opened the box the cups, plates, kettle, and little tray were all securely fastened but in a way that made them appealing. Basically they were on display and still not knocking around in the box. Talking about the box, while it is made out of cardboard, it is super sturdy. We bought our oldest daughter a similar set from this company four years ago and the box is still as sturdy as the day we bought it for her.

Bought this for my 3 year olds birthday just to round out her other gifts, and it turns out, it's her favorite! The cat design is adorable and I'm glad I purchased this one after struggling with the idea of getting a larger, porcelain one that could be used for real. With this kind she can carry it around in the box and play however she wants with it without needing constant supervision. Yes, it's a bit small, but it's for pretend! My 5 and a half year old has asked for one for her birthday.

I had bought a tea set for my 2 year old granddaughter for her birthday. My son has a video of it being delivered and 2 hours later, of some young woman stealing it off their front porch! My granddaughter, mind you, only turning 2, said she didn't like that girl, she makes bad choices, she should be in time out. I ordered a similar set and it was delivered the next day! And I asked that they be sure to put it behind the bushes so it couldn't be seen from the road and they did! My granddaughter loves her replacement tea set. Thank you!

I am very happy with the quality of this set, and judging by my kid's reactions, so is he. What I love most about this Tea set is that my kid pretends to make tea and then he offers us tea, so this is becoming a family activity, rather than just a toy for the kid. Highly recommend!

Good quality and well packaged. Our 4 year old loves this. Much nicer than the plastic one she had before.

My daughter loves this tea set, the tea set its self is beutiful and perfectly sized for little hands, sadly the case was a little disappointing as isn't very durable as the catch broke very quickly so it no longer stays closed but overall would still recommend as ecen without the case its still a lovely set

It’s beautiful. I use it when the fairy’s at the bottom of my garden come for afternoon tea. They bring the cake and I provide the tea. It’s wonderful

Great tea set for kids. Made of metal (not sure which one). Not easily broken although if used roughly, dent can easily happen on all the cups, saucers and teapot. Come with a cardboard case - not very solid but sturdy enough for storing the set and for kids to carry around the house. It even has a little tray.
