Ambassador Marine Sink Drain with 1 1/2-Inch Chain Stopper, Brushed Finish

Using this with my Heng's sink, which is much cheaper than the Ambassador brand of the same size (10" x 13" oval) - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RCX8MY. The drain is perfect, the angle at the bottom really helps keep water from backing up in the plumbing, and the built-in partial cover over the drain keeps things from falling in. Stopper is a nice additional touch.

Part will not fit in 1 1/2 inch hole. Outside diameter of mating part with sink is 1/16 of inch larger. Seller is selling rejected product?

Excellent sink drain. Just what I needed, Easy to install.

The quality of the unit is good. It does fit a standard 1.5" marine sink. HOWEVER. The output hose barb is ONE INCH diameter. There are probably no real "standards" in boats, but it appears that 3/4" sink outlet hoses are far more standard than 1". Mine certainly is 3/4". So the output of this sink drain DID NOT WORK with my boat. Be sure to measure before buying this. BTW, NO WHERE in the item description did it say that the output hose barb is 1"!!!!! I will need to jerry-rig a 1" to 3/4" adapter to make this work.The alternative is to buy the Ambassador sink drain that has only a 1.25" male threaded hose fitting. They also sell a $15 elbow that is female 1.25" threaded pipe to a combination 3/4" and 1" hose barb (S00-0022). Notice that they thereby implicitly acknowledge that 3/4" hose barb is at least common, if not standard. This combination is about $40 compared to the subject drain $25.

Product was straight forward. no surprises here . Install was easy . No leaks and looks great.
