Built to last a lifetime
These are slightly cheaper to buy this way rather than buying both individually. I should also note that these are the standard pans, not the pro design that have slightly different handles. These pans will last a lifetime with proper care and can be restored to working order if the care ever slips and they become rusty. If you’ve never had cast iron before, be patient. With some practice and reading from reliable sources and YouTube videos, these will serve you as well or better than any non-stick pan

Perfect pans
There is no better cookware than cast iron. The only thing I don’t recommend cooking in these is scrambled eggs....use a non-stick for that. But for EVERYTHING else, cast iron is superior. Super easy to make great pan sauces in...you may never just clean a pan again without first using the fond to make a sauce. There are a must have for any kitchen.

Great Quality
I am not experienced with cast iron cooking. However, we have not used anything except these pans to cook with for the last couple of months that we have owned them. Even pizza in the oven. I bought this brand (Lodge) because a son in law loves their dutch ovens. I am happy with the quality. I am sold on cast iron cooking now. But, I think it is very important to follow the directions. Lodge has a great website to help with that. I was worried about my ceramic stove top getting scratched. But, have had no problems with it. We seasoned them before cooking with them. And we clean them per instructions on their website. They did stick a bit for the first week or two. Nothing major, but I was a little worried. But, not anymore. The more you use them, the better. Eggs, fried or scrambled, slide right out now, just for an example. I will never go back to those unhealthy coated, non-stick pans. I also think the set of 2 pans was a great value.

Cast Iron??? Lodge is THE BEST!
Although I was raised in Texas, my parents were from the Northeast. We NEVER cooked in cast iron. Decades later I purchased these pans. They have been awesome. I probably scrub and season them more than I should...lol...but they are truly performing even better than I had hoped. I finally can make authentic cornbread!!!!

Be Wary Of 3rd Party Sellers / good product, nonetheless
On 2/21/21, I ordered a 12-in + 10.25-in Lodge skillet bundle from TCase Market and, after several days and no usable tracking info, received a shipment from Walmart (!!), where these skillets are being sold for much less. This practice blatantly violates the terms & conditions 3rd party sellers agree to when partnering with Amazon. I see a lot of similarly-appearing 3rd party seller situations, here, and I urge buyers to be careful who they order from.I reported the fraudulent seller to Amazon Customer Service, who handled things quickly and nicely for me, however I’m concerned this issue might arise again for another customer.(Update 2/27: TCase emailed me, claiming they’d had to use a Walmart shipping box because they’d run out of their own boxes, but it was all lies. I now had the tracking info and Walmart.com had confirmed the order had been shipped to my address by someone who’d also been reported by a customer for the same fraudulent actions.)That said, Lodge makes a pretty good product. Anyone downvoting the item because they don’t understand cast iron cooking and how it doesn’t work with ceramic or glass cooktops, for example, needs to educate themselves before they jump on here and air their grievances. Do your research and learn how to use this metal cookware. Allow it the time to build up a smooth seasoning, don’t stick a cold pan in high heat, don’t leave food in it, don’t use metal utensils with it, don’t stack stuff in it, and just keep it clean & dry between regular uses— you ought to be fine. This new iron isn’t the same quality as 100-year-old iron, so don’t expect such, but it’s still one of the best cooking surfaces you’ll encounter.

Great investment. Learn to care for them.
This was not my first cast iron but it was my first NEW cast iron. Food stuck first thing. I thought I knew how to treat cast iron but after many YouTube videos I discovered that I did not. Long story short. After properly treating and caring for my new frying pans I am very happy with them and the more I use them the better they get. I don’t think that I will ever have to order again but I would if needed. Investment of a lifetime.

Cast Iron-Works as Expected
These pans work great. Nice even heat for cooking both on the stovetop and in the oven.

Lodge - Well Made Cast Iron
These were a gift for my son and are great. They are level and well balanced. Do not expect them to have the mirror smooth finish like Lodge Cast Iron of old. I suppose that the labor involved in machining these pans to that fine finish would make these pans just too expensive.
