How much does each single lift raise height?

There are 3 parts to the Mahryn Health Adjust Heel Lift and each part is 1/2 CM high at the highest point (back of heel) and tapers down. In Contrast The original AdjustaLift is a tad over 1/4 cm in each of the 3 layers. The M is softer than the AdjustaLift but not nearly as spongy and soft as the Dr. Scholls heel insert. All three layers of the AdjustaLift total 1 full cm and all three layers of the Mahryn Health Adjust Heel Lift total 1 1/2 CM. Hope that helps

I wear a size 9.5 shoe. What size should I buy?

I wear a size 8.5 or 9 in women's shoes and I got the medium, but I had to cut it down (not easy) to fit in the heel of my shoe. You might try the small and see if it works better. I did not like these as much as the Adjust A Lift kind. The sections on these tended to slide out and create a "stair step" rather than stacked directly on top of each other.

can i use this for sports?

If you have a small verifiable limb length discrepancy (one leg slightly longer than the other), you should use the heel lifts always
