I bought this Mizuno glove for my beginner baseball player, and we absolutely love it. The leather is soft enough that it didn’t take much time to break in, but still feels durable and high-quality. The fit is comfortable, the padding is just right, and my kid was able to catch confidently right away. It’s lightweight, easy to close, and perfect for learning the basics without struggling with a stiff glove. If you need a reliable, well-made glove for a new or younger player, this one is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

I believe this is easily the best youth first baseman glove for the money. EASILY. My son is currently playing 9u baseball on a travel team and plays first base at least a couple innings per game. He wanted a first baseman glove and it seemed like a decent birthday gift so I started to do research. As a youth baseball coach I've seen many kids with several different types of first base gloves. There are a few Rawlings and Wilsons that are sold in the big stores but to be honest, the quality of those gloves, for the size range, are very poor. The leather is light and flimsy which means it's broken in right away then becomes floppy. As a youth coach I can tell you that a floppy glove is the worst thing for them. Youth players need a decent quality glove that requires them to squeeze, but they are also able to close with their small hands. Typically the thumb and pinky portions of the glove should be relatively stiff, while the pocket down to the palm are softer and able to be broken in. This glove hits all the spots. The outer edges stayed stiff for 2 full seasons (and still going) while it was easy to close. It offers plenty of palm protection and my son never complained about his hand hurting on harder throws. It looks expensive and high quality and has the added benefit of NOT being one of the ones the other kids have from the big box stores. I'd highly recommend this for anyone thinking of getting a first base glove for their player. I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

This is a great mitt, especially for the cost. These mitts are easy to break in and work perfect for kids with small hands.

Bought the brown 11.5 inch, great value! the glove feels very well made. A bit stiffer than I expected based on description, but after about 20 minutes with some Nokona glove conditioner this thing is beautiful. That being said, the leather is VERY dry. If you want it to stay nice, get some Nokona, and apply very generously. Use regularly, and the leather will seem to never age. Overall this glove would easily have been 5 star if it would have came as described, still wasn't too hard to get it there.

This glove is well made and has a great design. Other gloves have finger sleeves that get pulled out; not this one. The velcro strap is great for stability. Easy to break in; 8 year old used it in a game on day one. Love the web design, no ball is getting through large holes like others. I've play for 40+ years and coached for more than 15.... this is a solid glove. Highly recommend.

Purchased two of these gloves, a 10” for my four year old in tee ball and a 10.5” for my child in coach pitch. When the gloves arrived they were easy for an adult to close but too stiff for a child, after about an hour of breaking in (without leather conditioner nor oil) the gloves were suitable for the kids. The palm of the glove has great flexibility and after breaking in this flexibility does not affect the pocket’s shape. The gloves are very durable and have lasted through a season and a half (two games, two practices, and playing catch per week) and still look brand new. Great glove for the low price and the leather quality (all leather, no plastic areas) feels really nice especially when compared to other youth gloves in this price range.
