Really good quality and delicious wood ear black fungus! The tiny cubes of dried mushrooms really increase in size when rehydrated with cold water! I used 3 cubes. I made a stirfry with the wood ear black fungus, boneless chicken thighs cut into small strips, ginger, green onions, garlic and lemongrass. We ate it over white rice. My family really enjoyed that meal.

I have been finding this brand (Soeos) to be very good quality products. These wood ear mushrooms were wonderful. I put 2 cubes into a gallon freezer bag and then filled almost the whole bag with filtered warm water. I left them in a bowl overnight. This morning they had filled almost the whole bag! They had no grit or sand in the bottom of the bag and the water was still clean and clear. That is good quality! I just had some sliced up in my stir fry for lunch. There were no woody tough parts at all. The were soft and a little chewable and no grit at all. Just perfect. I will be more generous with them in my next recipe. I loved that they were black and not off color gray. What will I do with all the extras I hydrated?...... well they will be packaged in baggies in serving sizes, squish the air out and freeze the rest for quick stir fry’s. Thanks, Soeos!

These are great. They taste good and they’re very easy to use and store.

I buy these again and again - they re-hydrate really easily while taking up way less space than similar products and are a great price per ounce (much better, once again, than other similar products).

Couldn't find these around me, so I got these here, and they're perfect. Beware each block makes alot

These are nice quality mushrooms. You can see from my pictures that after soaking in a large bowl of water, one small block produced about 4 cups of mushrooms! After boiling them for 3 minutes, we drained them and made a Chinese salad. The mushrooms retained a fresh and crunchy texture, and I didn’t need to trim any tough parts because everything was tender. A couple of mushrooms were larger and/or a different color, but they were mostly a uniform small size, so I didn’t need to chop them, either. And I like that each square is individually wrapped for freshness. Will buy again!

Gave a lot of product for the price. Very small amount needed. Almost could cut the blocks in half or quarter. Very pleased.
