Most comfortable
I have been buying Tai Chi shoes since long before Amazon was a thought in JB's mind. I simply wear these around the house as slippers in the spring and fall. Cotton sole is the most comfortable for me and don't make noise or slip on the hardwood. I don't wear them outdoors. For a number of years I purchased similar shoes at retail stores (several pair each time to last between shopping trips), then when I couldn't find them in Kansas City I use mail order from New York. The last 10 years or so I buy one pair a year on Amazon, every year. This is the first year I purchased the DT brand. I selected 9N and they came marked 43, which is the size I was hoping for. I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks now and I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I can remember wearing. Usually 43s are a little tight on my right foot and my big toe eventually wears through. Not with these. The width is great and the room in the toes are fine. The only other thing I find with this type of slipper is that eventually the cotton sole becomes somewhat lumpy. I won't know until next fall whether or not this will happen with these, but so far these shoes are notably more comfortable that anything I have purchased for a long time...so I decidet to re-ordered another pair and write this review. :-)

Great shoe
I have been looking for these for about a year. I have a pair that's about5 years old. They are very comfortable and as you can see, last a long time. These are a fantastic shoe for around the house. Thank you

Also great for use as house slippers, but not very long-lived
I use these as house slippers, not for tai chi. I find them slippery at first, but less slippery with wear (say, after a few weeks); this wearing process is desirable to me, but probably not for people practicing tai chi. They are a bit small compared to US sizing—for those who know European sizes, my US size 11 came marked 45, but it feels probably more like 44 or less; this US size 10.5 wearer found them narrower and shorter than my usual shoes. However, after some adjustment, I like this fit. There's not much support, which is fine with me for house-slipper use and probably desirable in a tai chi slipper. Some people mention getting shoes with rubber soles. I've now bought two pairs, and they have both come with cloth soles.I don't know exactly when the inner lining started tearing, but it took about 6 months to become unbearable for me—though my experience was so good in the meantime that I ordered another pair. One particular problem was that, if a little piece of detritus ever got into the body of the shoe, it would slip into the lining through a tear, and couldn't be extracted without more tearing. The pictures are of a new right slipper next to an 8-month-old right one.

Good Slippers Gone Bad
I have purchased these slippers many times before, and they used to be an excellent product. But man, have they ever gunked these up! The sizing has changed, so they no longer fit well. The material has also changed, making them much stiffer and harder to flex. They used to be oh, so comfortable; now they're decidedly un-. They used to provide good traction when you moved around, now they cause you to slip and slide like the proverbial banana peel.I hate it when a good, reliable product becomes unusable, because the manufacturer decided to cut some corners. But that's exactly what happened it this case.

Cute slippers
Originally bought these for my ninja costume for Halloween and since then I've been using them as outdoor slippers

Heavenly house slipper
I have gone through many types of house slippers in my life. This is it. I'm done. My search is over. I ordered a pair as a gift to myself at Christmas and didn't expect them to last long. They are so comfy. Just enough that you don't feel everything you step on but light enough that your feet don't feel like they are wearing slippers. I made a mistake, wore them to get mail, and stepped in a puddle, and that was tragic. The slippers still hold up, just stained and the sole looks dirtier. I'm ordering a replacement and backup pair and using them solely and only in the house. I cannot recommend it enough.

size 14 is too small, size 15 may be the same size as 14s.
i like the cotton soles, and the construction seems adequate for cheap shoes, but I have a size 13 foot, but normally wear size 14s. I bought a pair of size 14s, which were labeled size 48 , and found them too short and narrow to fit my foot into.I immediatly ordered thr largest size, (size 15) which should have been an inch longer, and wider than the 48s, but when the 15s arrived, they were also stamped with "48" and were the same size as the 14s that didn't fit I think another vendor might be more reliable, because, I was really dissapointed to receive the exact same shoe for the size 15s I needed.

Fit great!
I bought these to use while training. They fit great but they are slippery on the mat. Still 5 stars cause they fit!
