Van Heusen Men's Dress Shirt Regular Fit Oxford Solid Buttondown Collar

Bought 10. All 10 needed trimming of the threads sticking out from the sewing. Washed it per instructions but all shirts wrinkled just as a shirt that didn't say was wrinkle free. Each shirt had at least one spot where the edge of fabric wasn't folded correctly to get tucked in underneath the sewing. Have always bought Van Heusen dress shirts. This purchase was such a major let down that after this I'm not sure I can trust the brand any more for my next purchase.

When ordering a Van Heusen, one always knows what to expect: A bit of a generous fit, great broadcloth feel, well constructed, heavy weight shirt suitable for just about any pair of pants from jeans to gabardines! Tie or no tie, sweater or no sweater, pants or - - - oh wait a second! (Unless one is on Zoom, er, uh, hmm - - - of course ). Great quality and will last for years!

This Van Heusen shirt is just what I wanted and needed. I wear button down collars for casual dress only. This shirt looks particularly good open-collar under a sport coat. It washes well and doesn't shrink on a delicate heat setting. Despite being described as wrinkle-free, I find it needs a light ironing. However, I'm very picky. Many reviewers note this shirt runs large. That's not exactly true. Rather it is sized differently from standard sizing. A large is typically a 16 to 16 1/2 neck. A large in this shirt though is 16 1/2 to 17. That's where the "runs large" comes from. I can't say for certain but I suspect the others sizes run similar thus a medium will probably run as a 15 1/2 to 16 neck, and extra-large as a 17 1/2 to 18 neck.

I love this shirt. It is somewhat large and I'm a big guy. I'd probably get an XL next time. But the quality and comfort and look are classic. I love this shirt. It's a wonderful addition to my wardrobe. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a classy and classic dress shirt. Plan to renew my wedding vows in this shirt, with suit, tie and accessories. Makes me looks like a gentleman. Feels thick yet comfortable. Highly recommended.

The fabric in these shirts is wonderful! It’s slightly thicker than other dress shirts. They wear well, they are comfortable and soft and they don’t wrinkle too badly. All in all this is a superior garment. I immediately purchased other colors. The xl fits me just fine with a little extra room that I like.

Any clothing review will be subjective as everyone is a little different. This shirt fits me like it was tailored. I'm 6' 1" with a 45" chest and 34 inch waist and a 16.5 " neck. I weigh about 210 lbs. The Large is what I ordered. I've had shirts that fit well on the torso but had sleeves that are too long/short or necks that are too loose/tight. This shirt is perfect for my build. There is no "stretch" to the material, but it feels like it breathes well.

The buttons to keep the alignment on collars down is off, WTF! Take a look at my image.I ordered a Large, but this shirt is way too large, fits like a 3XL, the arms are wide enough to fit my legs and the torso is large enough to fit two slim people.

This classic blue Oxford cloth button down shirt is classic. Basically unchanged in design for 60 years. I have one my wardrobe for all my adult life. Sturdy, almost all occasions garment.

Good cotton feel / texture and entirely as expected for fit.

A very good shirt as one would expect from Van Heusen .

I bought for hubby as a present. He is delighted with it would buy again.
