This little portable LED/UV nail lamp requires a power source, which in my case I used an ANKER 6-port hub. It's very lightweight and almost feels too fragile when you handle it. Worked like a charm for my nails though. I consider that a plus. You can set the lamp to charge for 45 or 90 seconds at a time by tapping the little icons on the top. You can also turn off the LEDs by tapping them again if you need to. The average person's hand will maybe be able to fit 3 or 4 fingers underneath at a time. Smaller hands can fit all 5 if they so chose with a bit of angling. Please note this little device broke while I tried to put it up and I deducted a star from this review as a result. When I went to fold the leg down, it popped out and bent the footie making it difficult to pop back in and now does not close properly without extreme care.

It works fine for all my cheap gel polishes, but to be safe, I double the length of time-I repeat the 90 sec dose and have not had a problem with denting or smearing. The cord is slightly short for where I use it, and it has fallen on a hard floor over 10 times and still works fine.
