Some Helpful Tips For People Having Trouble
When the decals arrive they are actually between two sheets...one has a paper backing and the other is clear plastic. Use the portion with the paper backing to see how you want the decal to line up on the object you are placing it on. Remove the paper backing from the decal where it is still adhering to the clear plastic. Lay the clear plastic down the way you want it on the item. Then gently peel away the clear plastic piece. What should be left behind is ONLY the white portion of the decal. You may have to push down the white decal as you pull it away from the clear plastic, but if you take your time it comes off just fine. The decal DOES stick to plastic cans. If you have air bubbles, gently push them toward the edge of the decal until they are gone...some small air bubbles may remain and these should go away in a day or two. If they remain then you can use a sewing needle to make very small holes in the decal where the bubbles are and the air should escape. It really is not complicated as many people are making it sound. Remember...line it up...remove paper backing where decal is stuck to clear plastic...place clear plastic in place with decal attached then GENTLY remove the clear plastic front apply some pressure to help pull the decal from the clear plastic and keep it in place. TAKE YOUR TIME...this is NOT a sticker its a decal and it requires a little more work.

UPDATED: Just what I needed.
I am so happy this worked out. I like the symbol. I followed the directions, to the T, and I still ended up with little bubbles in the sticker. I wasn't super careful with dust in the air, so maybe it is acting like screen covers, and little dust particles got on the sticky side.It is a bit confusing when reading the directions. They mention "firmly rubbing across the transfer tape" which I was confused on which side was transfer tape and which side is the "backing". Maybe it is obvious to you, but it wasn't for me. The transfer tape is the side that you can see lines on it like the backside of wrapping paper. The "backing" is the side that the symbol is most clear, and it is just an opaque white piece of paper. All said and done, I like it. The bubbles are so tiny, you can hardly notice them. I tried to take a picture to show you, but as you can tell from the photos, it isn't very noticeable. Now I don't have to be picking around in the trash after guests are here!UPDATE:I would like to note that a lot of the little bubbles worked it way out over time. I am not sure how long, but after a month I decided to look at the sticker and I noticed it. There are three bigger bubbles, which I think might have been from lint. I am happy some of the bubbles naturally worked their way out.

application a little tricky
I bought two of these decals. One of them went on a glass surface and worked beautifully - it was very quick & easy to apply. The other decal I bought to mark our recycling trash can in the kitchen and that was more of a challenge. I cleaned the semi-rigid plastic surface of the trash can and allowed it to dry before application. But it was still a huge pain getting the decal to stick, and to come away from its backing. It took me several attempts with different techniques, using the edge of a credit card, holding one hand inside the trash can to make it even more stiff, etc. Finally the technique that worked for me was scratching it like mad with my fingernail, and even then I had to manually peel some parts of the sticker apart from the backing and 'force' it onto the trash can surface. I like this decal a lot and it looks good applied but if you're using it on anything other than glass be prepared to take some extra time & trouble!

Paper backing wouldn't come off!
I work with this type of vinyl sticker all the time and this one wasn't good. It was probably old as the sticker part had adhered to the was backing that is supposed to come off easily. I applied the sticker to the can, started to peel the backing off and the vinyl came right off with it. I've had that happen at times, so I tried to peel the vinyl from the backing manually so I could then reaffix it. It wouldn't come off! I used my fingernail at first with no luck. Then I got an exacto black and tried to lift it off. No luck either. It was baked on! So that went in the trash. Next time, I'll just order it locally from someone that cuts to order so it doesn't sit in a warehouse or on a shelf for a long time and get ruined.

Crisp, Clean look
This sticker was exactly what i was looking for. We have 2 stainless steel cans and wanted to make one a recycle bin. It measures about 5.25 by 5.25 at the widest points. This is the kind of sticker where the sticker is between 2 pieces of 'wax' like paper-backings. You remove the 'front' backing, place it one what you want to stick it to, and then use a popsicle stick to rub the sticker on the object being careful not to trap air bubbles. It is very sticky and looks like it will stay in place forever. It is very clean-looking.The sticker itself is only the white part - there is no clear rectangle or circle with a white recycle symbol, the white sticker is white all the way thru. Very nice looking. This is a nice looking sticker and you can't beat the price!

Replacement sticker, seems fine.
Ordered this as a replacement for the one on our kitchen recycle bin. The previous one had, after several years, partially detached and stuck to a box that had been sitting on top of the bin. Seems it stuck better to the box than the can and then was pulled off when I moved the box. Well, this new one was the closest thing I could find. It's in 3 sections (not 1 sticker), making it a little tricky to apply, but I finally got it. Should be good for quite a while, I expect.

Everyone pleade recycle
This is so perfect. I like to recycle and I think everyone should. It makes space for real garbage like unwanted food and wastes. So i placed this sticker on another trash bin and all my friends and family already know to place any water bottles or cardboard from shipments. It also helps you save trash bags. All you need is one and just keep dumping the recycled in the city bin. I've been reusing the same one for about 4 months now and the trash bags just looks like it has some cardboard debris. I suggest to get your bin red so your friends and fam can immediately see it.
