Once opened, can I repack the freeze dried chicken into smaller portions in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers? How long will they last?

I have done that, but my kids like to rob them from the storage and eat them like snacks. In my house once the can is open, if I am lucky they last a week. But seriously, I am pretty sure you're good for at least 5 years if you vacuum pack and seal them in the mylar bags.

I read this was cooked and dried chicken and to just add water but saw nothing about it being freeze dried. Is it freeze dried?
