Quality issues
Mesh seat tore the first time I used it, an endcap on the pedal came off...ended up returning it. Good concept, not great execution.

Works but damaged by poor package
Really worried any damaged through delivery since saw some comments before decided to buy. As worried, tore and plastic tapped carton was delivered and asked UPS why it was so messy on surface then he said it was as it is when he picked up in the morning. So, I opened up with him to check if any severe damaged or missed parts found but, looks luck not finding any damaged and looks new in a few moment. I took and brought to basement to assemble but, eventually, found crack on plastic wheel cover and rear plastic cover screw holder broken underneath of seat. Well, well, this is 2nd time disappointment on exercise bike purchase since previous order was returned. Now, I'm considering again ......Amazon can send new plastic covers??

packaging problem
When I ordered this machine I received it pretty quick, but the box it was shipped in looked like it had been through a meatgrinder. When I was putting it together, I noticed that the connectors and wires had been cut in two. I called amazon and told them. they told me they would send me a new one and that i would need to ship the damaged one back at their expense. I told them the box would need a lot of tape to piece it back together. amazon credited my account 10 dollars to pay for the tape. to my amazement, the replacement bike showed up at my door within 24 hours! assembly was pretty easy it took about an hour and a half. I really love this bike with all its' workout options. It is totally quiet, which allows me to watch tv and work out. I have encountered one problem, the mesh seat has ripped from the seat frame. I have not contacted amazon yet. i will after i write this review. I have had it only a month.

Recommended Bike
I'm a runner with very little experience with bikes, but a knee injury got me looking for a bike. I settled on this bike after looking at a number of options and trying out a few bikes at stores and hotel gyms. Some thoughts after owning it for a month:Positive:* The bike is QUIET. Someone in the next room will not hear you using it.* The bike is far smoother than others that I tried - there isn't any jerkiness on the pedals when resistance changes.* The seat back is really comfortable - it's more like one of those Aeron chairs than a workout machine chair.* The bike comes with a variety of pre-programmed workouts that I've found really useful.* I had to do a warranty repair of a broken cable (see below) and the repair guy commented that this is a well-built machine that he doesn't get many calls on.* Due to a part that was broken during shipping I had to talk to customer service, and they were great - a single email that included a photo of the broken part and my serial number resulted in a new part being shipped to my house and an on-site repair guy at my door, with no additional cost to me.* A minor point, but the bike looks cool. The yellow panels give it some flair, while most workout machines seem to ignore aesthetics.Negative:* As noted by other reviewers, the box was completely beaten up when it arrived at my door, and the wire connector to the console was severed. Customer service was great, but stronger packaging probably would have eliminated this issue.* The electronics on the machine are a bit disappointing. For example, the display is all text and thus there isn't any easy way to tell what the "terrain" you're on is like or will change to in the future. Similarly, the info presented on screen is limited and you have to change screens to see calories burned, current speed, etc. In an age of iPods and touchscreens the bike's electronics feel like they're about ten years out of date.* I started assembling the unit before discovering the broken wire, and while the instructions are clear and all tools are provided, there's a fair amount of sweat required to get it together. Since a repair guy was coming out to install the warranty-repair wire harness I ended up just paying him to finish the install.* While the seat back is amazingly comfortable and feels like an office chair, the seat bottom is closer to a traditional bike seat and not as comfortable as I'd hoped for.Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others, although if Livestrong comes out with a model that has improved electronics then that would definitely be worth considering as an upgrade. Note that I don't really use the speakers so can't comment on them, although it seems like the iPod connectivity is well thought out. Some advice on the price: the price on this bike at Amazon seems to fluctuate by a few hundred dollars, so keep an eye on it to ensure you get the best possible deal.

Great Bike
All of a sudden osteoarthritis hip problem appeared. Doctor recommended a recumbent bike. After 3 weeks of hardly being able to walk and only a week of using this bike I am back to functioning. AWESOME. Yes I will always have the arthritis but I have always been a person on-the-go and this brings back being able to walk without extreme pain and lessening the amount of medications. This machine is extremely quiet and after trying other bikes I found that I could use this past the initial pain and on to a "good" workout. Very, very comfortable.

Stay away from Livestrong Bike....
After less than 10 months of use....the seat back snapped off....have called Amazon (more than 30 days we cannot help you)..... have tried to call Livestrong and so far no help. The bike while useful and comfortable to ride up to this point...obviously has a cheaply made seatback!!

Seat back broke completely off after very little use.
With very little normal wear by an average size person - a plastic bracket broke and the seat back fell completely off. Be very careful leaning back on the seat - I tumbled backwards off the bike. Comfortable bike but could injure somebody quite easily with such a faulty seat.

Great bike. Poor packaging.
The bike arrived in a badly damaged box. Really not strong enough to protect the bike. During assembly, which was quite easy, we realized that there were bolts missing, a damaged center column and a cracked base support. None of these things have affected the function of the bike which we love. I would recommend the bike but buy it at a local retailer to avoid shipping.
