A BEAUTIFUL ROMANCE, A HEART-WRENCHING STATE OF AFFAIRS!!!
"All my life, I've dreamed of having someone love me like you do."Loving every single book an author has ever written is daunting at times because you are always dreading that no story could ever match the quality of the last one. But book after book, Ms Glines keeps delivering such distinctive love stories, her trademark style recognisable from a mile, but each time injecting something new, something unexpected, something utterly addictive into these stories to keep us glued to our chairs and totally oblivious to the world around us. Apart from this being one of the most beautiful romances she has ever written, this book is also her most heart-wrenching one. Every part of this story touches your heart, confronts you with your worst fears as a woman, and then leaves you in a daze of blissful optimism and irrepressible cluckiness."I was a bastard, a heartless bastard. I didn't deserve her, but I wanted her more than I wanted to breathe."Grant Carter is a broken man. His actions have driven the love of his life to flee from him and seek solace at her brother's farm in Texas. But a broken heart is not all that Harlow is suddenly faced with, her passionate but short-lived affair with Grant having opened the one door she never even hoped of peeking through. And she has no intention of closing it, whatever the cost."I loved Grant Carter. I loved him so much. But I loved someone else just as fiercely."We watch the young lovers suffer acutely from the separation, desperately missing each other, wishing they never parted ways, but Harlow's priorities have shifted now and she remains determined to stay hidden from the man she still loves and the media that is still hounding her. Grant, on the other hand, would give anything to find her--he leaves her daily messages, professing his love, apologising, begging her to call him, hating himself for allowing his fears to push her away, all in the hopes she would give him one more chance at showing her what she means to him."If I could hear your voice tonight, Harlow, if I could just hear you tell me you're OK . . . I would be better. I would be able to take a deep breath. Then I'd beg. I would beg you to love me. I would beg you to forgive me."When they finally reunite, their love is the only thing they can both count on as everything else unexpectedly hangs in the balance, and their future together remains uncertain. As we witness their struggle to stay positive, to believe that fate wouldn't have brought them into each other's lives only to take it all away, we also get to feel their every fear, their every doubt, their every heartbreak. And this book will most certainly make you feel. There are parts of it that made me cry like a baby, there are others that are so emotionally intense that they made my chest tighten in pain, and then there are moments in the story whose sheer beauty left me utterly speechless."... I don't accept that I won't get forever with you."This book is quite the departure from its relatively light-hearted prequel. While in the beginning of their relationship the focus stayed on the chemistry between these characters and the irresistible attraction that wouldn't allow them to be apart, this part of their story is all about the emotions, the sacrifices, the dreams, the hopes. Grant started off as an 'acquired taste' type of hero, one who acted on impulse and made a million mistakes in the process, but in this book we get to see a different side of him. His remorse and fear of losing the woman he loves change him, set his priorities straight and show him what his life would look like without her. Harlow, on the other hand, has always been a fearless heroine, a young woman used to looking after herself, and that aspect of her personality gets only amplified once she is forced to make some difficult, life-altering decisions. But we also get to see a softer side of her, a more vulnerable one, making her one of the most commendable female leads I have ever come across. This story truly caught me off guard, I never expected it to take the turn it eventually ventured on, and every single second of it was a thrill to read. So, dive in, brace yourselves for your hearts to be stretched to their limits, but know that you'll be alright in the end, because there is no greater romantic among us than Ms Glines herself."If we have a lifetime or only a few moments together, you will be the most important thing that ever happens to me in this life."

Wow, the best of the series so far
Oh wow, this was by far the most heart-stopping book of this series. In Take A Chance, Grant was having feelings for Harlow, but he wouldn't let them develop very far because of his fear of loss. In the end, Grant wound up losing it all and it cost him. I wasn't impressed with him and that bugged me, because I had seen a Grant that was as good as Rush and Woods in the previous books, but that side of him didn't manifest itself. Instead, he just seemed like a horny bastard out to get Harlow because she was untouchable and sweet enough to get a taste of and enjoy, but not to commit to. Still, it was quite obvious that Harlow was going to be the game changer for him and Grant backed away from someone amazing. Then there was all of the Nan drama in the past so Grant was basically not good enough for Harlow, I was seriously doubting that he could be redeemed but I sure hoped so. So now in this book, it starts off with Harlow and Grant in separate locations. Harlow is guarding herself from the media frenzy, but also another secret that is even riskier than the first secret she shared. Harlow to me was the ultimate symbol of silent strength. She may not have been flashy or extroverted or snarky, but Harlow is not to be underestimated ever. She had a very strong constitution underneath, and that means loving other people more than herself and making whatever sacrifices necessary. Harlow does not back down or cave to pressure from other people, and boy does she get pressured in this one because the people who love her the most - Mase, Kiro, Grant - they would rather she make the opposite decision of what she does decide. I felt bad for Kiro even though he is hardly Father of the Year, but Harlow means something to him, enough for him to have a reaction and to convey emotion over, which is more than he does for his other children, even though his presence in her life is still not up to par but the love and affection is there. I also hated the position Mase was put in, to watch his sister be miserable and put herself in a risky situation and to simply support her knowing the potential consequences. Mase really is a stand-out brother, I can't wait to read his story, his love for Harlow is what a sibling relationship should be like, he guards her carefully but he lets her make her own decisions, but doesn't ever stop being on her side. Grant is basically begging Harlow to let him back into her life, there's a decent amount of good groveling on his behalf. Just like Rush and Woods dealt with a period of time without Blaire and Della, Grant is in pure misery. But the silver lining is that Grant understands what he lost except when he realizes the journey has just begun, he finally steps it up. Grant impressed me because no matter how pervasive his fear was, and it was real this time, he kept it under wraps and stood by Harlow through everything and let her steer them forward. His situation wound up being way tougher than what Rush or Woods had to deal with and Grant handled it the way Harlow needed him to. I'm not kidding, I was stressed out reading the middle half of the book towards the end. The ending that I wanted wasn't guaranteed, Grant and Harlow knew that, too, as did everyone else. Nan even has her moment. I'm so glad Grant manned up in this book though and became the guy he should have been in the first place, he still made mistakes along the way, but every decision he made was always with Harlow as his main concern and she absolutely deserved to be the center of someone's life. The surprises in this book really pulled me along and I also loved how all of the previous characters come together for the main events. Each book tells such an interesting lesson about friends and family, and that while family is not chosen, friends are and those friends become family.

Amazing...
This was a fantastic read, it drew me in immediately. I loved Grant and Harlow before, but these two.... wellWe start shortly after Take a Chance, with Harlow leaving after revealing (or having revealed) that she has a health problem. I wanted to bash Grant then, but we spend the first third of the book with two very heartbroken people, who are clearly so much in love on not wanting to hurt and the other desperate to find the one person that is loved so much.I was glad that Harlow had her brother Mase, what an upstanding chap. I want my very own sweet talking Texan cowboy!Harlow i dealing with some tough personal decisions and to be honest, I would be so like her. That's not a choice I would want to have to make and she gets a huge pat on the back from me.I can understand why grant is finding it hard to accept what is happening, and that he is coming round. Really shows how much he has grown up, let's face it he didn't really take much responsibility before Harlow came into his life.Love how Rush and Blaire are with Grand and Harlow, they are the epitome of friends. My emotions have been all over the place - and only half way through!!!!!I clearly stopped right where I needed to......The second half made tears leak from my face!!! :)Wow! What a lovely proposal, I do believe I was sniffing then.Everything after happened so quickly, as I said before Blaire and Rush; best friends anyone could ever want or need. The group in rosemary Beach have such a strong bond, and when they lost Jase (Which has not been forgiven yet either!) they just appeared to grow even closer.I love how strong Harlow has been and how she is such a determined feisty lady, and how he got Grant to see how truly unhappy his life had been before she came into it, even though at one point he thought he was in love with Nan.Hmm Kiro... such an egotistical ass, BUT having said that he came through in the end.I loved how Mase spoke to Kiro, and loved how Major was starstruck, but was there for Harlow. She did an amazing job, and as hard as her choices were she definitely had the love and support of her friends and family.Well Nan! have my feeling changed towards her NO not really BUT maybe she needs to feel the love of a great person, and that she gets her own HEA. Just glad tat at a crucial tie, she really stepped up.Now if there is ever a second chance book that NEEDS t be read this is it.An absolutely lovely couple, with a fantastic ending. FAB book.

Deeply touching & Emotional
Although this is the second book to feature Grant and Harlow, Abbi Glines does such a fabulous job of recapping aspects of the whole Rosemary Beach series within the narrative that Rosemary Beach newbies will be able to follow the plot without problem. The alternating perspectives and fast paced nature of the story make a very quick read. There are even a few surprise cameo appearances by characters of great importance to the series as a whole which provided some much needed insight into their actions and relationship with both Grant and Harlow specifically. The character development within One More Chance provides the fundamental basis of the story, and what a journey it was. Alongside the character development insight into how parental involvement and the nature of that involvement has on the emotional development of a person was profound and thought provoking. One More Chance is deeply touching and emotional heighten by the creative use of letters within the narrative.Abbi Glines masterfully provides progression of the other characters from the previous books in the series alongside the main characters in One More Chance. A brilliant addition to the series.

Not my favourite book in this series
This story is the second one in a two part book about Grant and Harlow. The first one 'Take a Chance' was better than this one as I found it a bit predictable and slow and went on too long for me. You virtually knew what was going to happen before it happened! Harlow has a heart condition and Grant loves her as we saw how they got together in the first book but he finds it hard to cope with the fact that there is a possibility she could die. Then by accident she gets pregnant and that creates a whole new set of problems. There is some drama and angst in this story which I love but not enough to keep my interest. It just plods along from the middle of the book to the end with no real surprises. Nan, Harlow's half sister has been in this series and appears in all the books and she is an evil nasty character but so far we have not had her story which I feel would have a different twist to it because it would be great to find a guy that could tame her and whether it could be possible at all!

Beautiful
One More Chance was such a heartfelt and emotional read, I loved Harlow as she was such a sweet and strong fighter defying the odds against her, trying to grab hold of her dreams and not let anyone sway her decisions despite what was at risk. Seeing Grant’s character handle his fears and acknowledge his bad decisions to win Harlow was moving to read, breaking down and seeing his passionate side come out to get his woman back confirmed who owned his heart. I loved his messages to Harlow they were full of regret and love and showed how life had changed him. My heart ached as I read the thoughts which consumed those close to Harlow hoping that she would get her hea. I absolutely loved Mase he was such a protective and loving brother, his relationship with Harlow was just beautiful. Rush and Blair were amazing as always and Nan tried to break through my hatred for her as her thoughts became exposed. Grant and Harlow's story was a beautiful read that brought out many emotions in me.

Good Read
Rating: 4.5 StarsI really love Grant and Harlow because they are so loveable and many a really great couple. Harlow is pregnant and she was always told that she shouldn’t get pregnant because of her heart condition. The pregnancy could be bad for her and she is told that she might not make it through so instead of telling Grant that she’s even pregnant, she leaves and hides away with her brother. Grant is desperate to find her when he finds out but no one is telling him anything. When he finally finds her, he wants her think about herself because he has lost too many people and he can’t bare to lose her. It’s a very rocky road for the couple and it was drama, drama, drama from start to finish. I really enjoyed it and to be honest, there isn’t a Abbi Glines book that I don’t like.
