I loved these. They made it easier to achieve the shapes and designs I wanted on my pottery pieces. Don't touch them directly to a metal wheel you'll have metallic particles coming off it'll get in your skin and can hurt. That's the only down side otherwise amazing product definitely recommend.

So I purchased these on prime day as I was looking for fun new pottery tools to try. However that night, a potter I follow on Instagram shared a post from Garrity Tools where this company ripped off their design for unfoot tools AND took their photo and photoshopped in the metal tool! 😳 The Garrity tools are made from wood and priced at $12/ea so not outrageous at all. Here's the kicker, if the stolen design and photo wasn't enuf... When the tools came I checked them out and there is absolutely no way I was going to try them! This didn't compute with me earlier becuz I use metal ribs all the time, but these tools are THICK metal that does not bend and the points are SHARP! I for one am not about to use a sharp metal tool with slick wet clay hands while throwing! That is a recipe for disaster! There are multiple sharp points and edges and I could just see myself either stabbing something or slipping and slicing something. No thank you.

These are 100% stolen from Garrity Pottery Tools, which make these tools in WOOD which is far preferable to this sharp, unsanded metal that has plenty of rough points and burrs which can catch your clay, or cut you. They even stole the images and photoshopped theirs in. Skip it. Buy the original in wood which is far, far preferable.

Creates beautiful designs. Start with a soft touch and increase as needed to get the desired result. This set is less intimidating than another set I got. It's a bit more difficult to use, however. At least for me. Take care of these, and they'll likely last you for forever.

Pros: Sturdy, several options, easy to clean, decent priceCons: Thin metal, so it may be a little slippery and tricky to hold. I wanted these metal ceramics tools because the wooden ribs can grow mold or mildew if they are not laid out to dry after washing properly. These metal tools are thick and durable. They are safe to use. I am really happy with these.

Absolutely fabulous construction! With easy storage to keep your ribs in pristine condition. Perfect for wheel throwing, trimming or hand building. Amazing durability with the flexibility needed for ceramics. With multiple sides for different texture techniques. A wonderful value!

Because it is a metal rib, it is very sharp, I had to return this because I didn't want to cut my fingers.
