Great Add On for your Nissan
What a great option for the Nissan. Easy to install, although no instructions are provided. Recommend 2 people for the install, as you do need to remove the nuts on the hinge that holds the hood in position. I will share good pictures of the proper installation locations. You also must remove the original hood prop and hood prop clip. But overall, I much prefer the lifters over the hood prop. absolutely recommend the product.

A great upgrade
Why wasn’t this installed at the factory? I am very pleased with the product. The install is super easy, but the ending results are priceless. I recommend this seller and the product. I know it’s not a huge deal, but is nice not dealing with a prop rod any longer. It’s the little things in life.

Well made product.
Easy to install small parts but found it difficult to compress the struts to correct length to install on new attachment points. No real instructions included had to go by various tube videos.

Really easy upgrade! Do it!!
No instructions, but plenty available online. The kit is fairly standard, so lots of resources out there. I’ve noticed several reviewers putting some stuff on backwards, especially the struts…so be mindful of that. Just because it fits, doesn’t mean it’s right.I just emulated what I found on several auto garage “how-to” YouTube videos. Some videos used blue Locktite (thread-lock) and torqued to specs. I didn’t have a torque wrench…so, take that for what it’s worth!Overall, very easy to install if you do some quick research on how to actually do it right the first time. Took me about 5 minutes. Highly recommend!!

Don't Wait Until You Need One!
The original hood prop on my 2005 Xterra is a single metal rod with a bend on one end and a rubber tip on the other. The rubber tip broke off which rendered the rod unuseable. Replacements were all around $35. That's $35 for a metal rod! On the same Amazon page were sets of gas struts to replace the "stick" which cost between $18 and $35. Naturally, I decided to upgrade to the gas struts. It took me about 20-30 minutes to install both struts and ten of those minutes was looking for a screwdriver! Works great. Not having to hold the hood up while placing the rod end in it's hole is so much faster and safer, while saving ~40% . Release the latch and the hood rises on it's own. The only regret was not replacing the "stick" sooner.
