The Republic of Tea Chai•Latte Capsule-Compatible Recyclable Tea Pods (10 count)

I was super excited about this, but the tea pods taste moldy, so not sure if storage was in a damp place before shipping, but no return, so be aware before purchasing.

NOT VERY STRONG AND TOO SWEET.

After seeing multiple commercials about this product, I was really excited to have other options to serve guests besides espresso. I followed the directions. On the package, and maybe I was expecting something more, but I found the tea to not be very flavorful. It was a high price point.So I don't really foresee myself buying it again

REVOLTING flavor. Tastes like I made overly watery instant apple and cinnamon oatmeal... and then only drank the water before it reconstituted any of the oats.

I love tea and drink it all day long. I've purchased and enjoyed several black and green teas from The Republic of Tea, and I like the quality. I've never gotten around to trying the chai varieties from this brand.. So, when I ran across these chai latte capsules, they seemed like a quick and easy option -- perfect for a busy day, I was happy to try them. My teen-aged granddaughter really likes iced chai lattes from the coffee shop, so I thought she might like this version as well. I made a cup for each of us yesterday when she came home from school and I topped it with a small dollop of cream. I thought it tasted pretty good, although not as robust as I expected. It is fairly sweet and lightly spiced, but I would have liked more of the actual tea flavor. I didn't notice any aftertaste. My granddaughter didn't like it as much as I did, and she felt it was too weak and not rich enough. Today, I tried again using the espresso setting and adding hot milk and no cream (for me) and using the lungo setting and a double shot/2 capsules + extra cream for more flavor and richness (for my granddaughter) with better results. Of course, this is much less convenient and makes an already pricey beverage even more expensive. At $14.99 for only ten capsules, I am far more likely to purchase the other chai options from this brand and add my own milk and sweetener.

The pods are super convent but they don’t deliver the same flavor intensity I am use to using a tea bag.

I'm not a fan of flavored coffees and don't add sugar but thought these may provide a bit of sweetness in tea form for a mid-afternoon treat. I was not wrong! I was actually surprised that I liked them so much. First, they work perfectly in my original line Nespresso machine. The Lundo setting is perfect for the flavor I want. I had had issues with the flow from off-brand pods in my machine at times, but the flow from these is perfect with no issues. The taste is outstanding. Not too sweet, balanced smooth & creamy flavor, and where I don't think it has enough foam to be called a Latte, it's delicious, nonetheless. I will be keeping these in stock as a special treat, as they are a bit expensive for homebrew, but worth it every now and then.

This tastes nothing like chai it tastes randic and off. I even cleaned out my machine to make sure it wasn’t coming in from there but nope it’s the pods. My pods also did not look red like the ones in the other photos and they do not quite fit. It’s nothing like a weak cup of tea bag type chai like other reviews claim. I genuinely think I have been sent expired product. I do not recommend this product at all.
