Would buy again. Great camping food kits.

A fair price at about 8-9 bucks a bag. I used them during a big snowstorm and didn't go hungry, heck the meal variety was kinda nice given the circumstances! The random meal Items I got were good though bringing extra condiments is always advised and none of the items, save some "Not Cheese Its" crackers, have been bashed up to bad.

Ok, this will be a little long. I purchased the MREs about a week ago. After receiving them, early I might add, I opened one and the heater didn't work. I marked it up to a fluke and tried a second one, it didn't work either. So I was needless to say, unhappy. I decided to send an email to them, not expecting a response, but nonetheless to make myself feel better. Well I was wrong, I quickly received a response from them. They apologized for the inconvenience, that this wasn't something that they had had an issue with in the past that they were aware of and wanted to know what they could do to rectify the situation. Would I like for them to send me new heaters? I told them that I didn't like to complain but whatever they seen fit to do would be fine with me. Well they went above and beyond, not only are they sending me new heaters (6 of them) they are replacing the 2 MREs that I ate cold. Now this is the short side of our conversation but to say the least I am blown away with their customer service. If more companies and people were like these guys this world would be a better place. If you are thinking about ordering from them after you read a few reviews, just stop here and place your order, you wont be disappointed.

While it is quite ingenious, it is also government issue. The heating packs work... to an extent. I found that I frequently had to flip the food packs to get even heat. The heat wasn't excessive. There were old heater meals that I used to order when I was in college that warmed FAR better. The packaging is good, but not 100%. I had a couple of meals that the heater bag popped open at the seems. The food itself was between meh and decent Chef Boyardee meals (4-6 on a 10pt scale). The coffee was actually pretty good, given how bad it used to be. Hot sauce is actually HOT. Desserts range from myeh to pretty good (3-7). "Appetizers" from bad to decent (2-6). If you have reason to believe that you might be locked in for some period of time, due to whatever reason, these aren't bad. I'm likely to order a couple of cases during the winter for those times I just can't be bothered to suit up and brave the cold. I wouldn't buy these for more than $10 per unit, regardless of the situation. If you want to go beyond that price range, there is better food.

Shipping was fast and the MRE’s were fresh (stored well in climate controlled conditions). I received my order on 1/14/24 and the date code year for all 6 mre’s was 2021. Perfect! They’ll easily last 3-5 more years in a closet. Each pack include a flameless ration heater, drink powder, and the famous brown US MRE spoon! Per the website mreinfo.com, each menu has a specific accessory pack. Pack “A” includes a spoon, one pack of instant coffee, creamer, sugar or Splenda, moist towelette, salt, and toilet tissue. Pack “B” includes Sugar free beverage base powder (ex. orange, lemon lime or raspberry), one pack of matches, two pieces of sugar free gum (cinnamon or mint), moist towelette, salt and toilet tissue. I received the following random menus: #5 Chicken Chunks-accessory pack B; #13 Cheese Tortellini-accessory pack B, #17 Maple Pork Sausage Patty-accessory pack A; #18 Beef Ravioli-accessory pack B; #19 Jalapeño Beef Patty-accessory pack A; and #24 Southwest Style Beef and Black Beans-accessory pack A. Each MRE outer tan bag was in perfect condition. Inside each bag was a main entree, side dish, bread and spread (ex., crackers, bread, jelly, peanut butter or cheese spread), dessert (ex., cookie or pound cake), drink powder (Gatorade-like drink, dairy shake, or cocoa). I was very pleased with the supplier shipping my order promptly. The product was undamaged and a good value at $11.50 each. It was nice purchasing a small quantity to check out real US military MRE’s. I will definitely buy a case or two for emergency use in the car while traveling, tornado, flooding, or another pandemic food shortage! I highly recommend!

A mainstay in my emergency kit. Much better than MREs used to be!

They’re fun easy to use and you have a lot of different options. The beef stew is like something out of a can. The chicken burrito is also fair but if you’re not somebody who can eat canned food and have it agree with you and MRE will be even worse. Comes with a lot of extras that help out when camping. Can snack on certain contents.
